Getting that point at Barcelona to qualify for the knock out rounds of the CL.
The CL quarter final and semi finals

And the 2017-18 run in...needed to beat Newcastle in the 37th match...was at wembley that night.

Your point is very valid...4 times in 4 years is pretty crap!

I don't think I'd agree about the two CL games. Certainly the 1st leg against City but the 2nd leg was sheer chaos from start to finish and were it not for VAR we would have gone out. Also helped that we went into the game as underdogs...less pressure. Went into the Ajax game as favourites and it was only once the aggregate score had relieved us of any real pressure that we suddenly came to life and pulled off a miracle.
I also disagree about that Barca game. They fielded a B team and as far as we knew we actually needed a win to make sure of qualification. Got very lucky that night that Inter screwed up.

End of 2018 I agree with you.

So by my count that's 3 matches in 4 years. Superb.

I haven’t missed the point, I just don’t think it’s as relevant as you think it is.

Has he helped them? Obviously. Does the way he’s funded them and the way he’s built up the money to pay for their trophies matter? Yes. Because it’s come at the cost of people’s lives.

Have other billionaires been guilty of doing this too? Yes - and I’m not excusing them. But the adulation I see for Abramovich from Chelsea fans is unprecedented. They want to acknowledge the glory without acknowledging the way they’ve achieved their success.

Your response makes you sound like an apologist for criminals.
You lot were all cheering on Usmanov to buy out Kroenke, so save the pious moralising like.

Disagree about VAR saving us in the City 2nd leg.
The disallowed goal was offside...it was clear on the replay with the naked eye.
Llorente's goal was also correctly given as it was impossible to tell if it hit his arm.

If either of those decisions were not given we'd have been rightly annoyed.

(unlike the farcical hand ball decision there the following season that did save us).

We were brave in that CL game and went for them which no one expected.

I struggle to remember the last time I thought that about one of out performances

So you’re saying you spoke out on here against Usmanov then?

I am fully aware of Usmanov’s murky past, rape allegations, treatment of workers and exploitation of labour.

He’s no better than Abramovich - but I wouldn’t have pretended that he is. Which is the obvious point you’re missing in an attempt to ‘discredit’ me.

So that’s a no then.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Frankly I was indifferent towards him because, as with most multi billionaires, you are sceptical of their intentions. I wasn’t keen on him but I didn’t go out of my to beg for him to take over, either. Even less so after reading about him.

Your question was pointless anyway, as it had no relevance to my point about Chelsea fans and Abramovich.

Of course it has relevance to you clutching your pearls about Abramovich, as Usmanov is also an oligarch with an equally murky past.

It’s moot now anyway, as he’s the silent cash behind my club, and for the record I couldn’t give a ****. That’s called honesty btw.

Given that I literally just told you that I know about Usmanov’s past, and I told you that had he taken over, I wouldn’t have pretended he’s this fantastic person like Chelsea fans do with Abramovich, I don’t think it’s relevant at all. If you can’t make the distinction, then that’s up to you.

Of course you don’t care, you’ve achieved nothing for the last 25 years and these guys you have now are presenting you with the first sign of potential success you’ve had in literal decades. So it doesn’t surprise me you don’t give a ****.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen Chelsea fans proclaiming Abramovich to be a St like, he’s been a good owner for them, only a tit would deny that, you’re just frothing about it as they’ve completely usurped you lot with his murky cash, so you’re getting all pious about it and trying to pretend you’re somehow morally superior. Get in the ****ing bin.

I don’t know how you can get so much wrong in such a few lines, but then again, I shouldn’t be surprised considering it’s you. Do one.

I got that much ‘wrong’ that you didn’t challenge a word of it.

Proper gobshite.

I already have, you’ve just decided to ignore it and repeat the claptrap you said before. I’m not gonna repeat the same stuff to you because you can’t be bothered to comprehend.

Frankly, you’re boring and your attempt to ‘discredit’ me failed miserably.

You can stop replying to me now.
