His dive against Argentina in 2002 was against Poch, but his dive in 1998 was against Jose Chamot

The fact that Michael Owen dives in World Cup games against Argentina need to be specified says an awful lot...
I'm less convinced by the first one, to be honest.
The defender does the classic "arms in the air, so I can't be fouling" move.
Owen was definitely looking for it, but the guy's trying to make contact and does so, though how much is definitely debatable.

Chamot's knee catches him.
Forgot it was Kim Milton Nielsen. Ref for Mourinho's first Champions League and sent Rooney off for clapping.

That dive was against Pochettino.

Not that Pochettino is vindictive or anything.

I mean, who would believe that just because Owen played for the
Poool, that 15 years later Pochettino would engineer a scenario
where an argie player he managed would be involved in a
last-minute penalty controversy at Anfield ... ??

< rhetorical question >

Francis Lee? ummm! All these short fellas can get away with it (i.e.Salah) but Rodney Marsh? He was a big guy and for him to take a dive would be obvious....but I remember he did it!!!!

Rodney Marsh was and always will be a massive, hypocritical, bitter twat.

He was a diver in a team of divers but complained about players diving when he was a sky pundit...a job he lost cos a couple weeks after the tsunami which killed 250,000 he made a joke, live on air...about a tsunami <doh>
The hypocritical twat also slagged spurs off for bringing Kane on as a sub v Tranmere when we won 7 nil but said nothing when city did the same thing when they won 9-0 against Burton Albion.

Oliver Burke has broken Gareth Bale's long-standing Premier League record

No, not a good one, a really bad one - Sheffield United's loss to Burnley last night means that Burke has a record of 0 wins, 4 draws and 21 losses in 25 games across stints at West Brom and Sheffield United, beating Bale's previous record of 0 wins 9 draws and 15 losses

He seems happy to be there and doesn't take himself too seriously. Barely played in England, so perhaps it's easier for him to be laid back about it all?
It also helps that, when the BBC and Sky pundit pools were becoming a couple of echo chambers, he was either commentating for ITV or the FIFA games, or appearing as a panelist on A Question of Sport

In other words he didn't spend the first decade of his commentary career having to toe the Man Utd or Liverpool party line
