That’s where I usually go after games, boss man always sorts me out with a mega doner wrap, chilli sauce and onions. The thing’s a damn weapon, I only finish it if I’m half pissed with the proper munchies. Gotta top it off with the orange mirinda as well, Turkish mirinda > any other mirinda, much better flavour for some reason.
Oh, that takes me back, my aunt used to live in a flat near Warwick Ave station and the local Turkish deli sold mirinda soda , do they still do the citrus flavour ? Not seen it for years
Sevilla do not like sharing this competition with others, they’re the absolute kings of it. No shame in admitting I’m completely jealous of them. Great final too.
Mate, we won a trophy 3 weeks ago and even I'm jealous of them Our record in Europe is embarrassing. Would kill to have the sort of European success that they've had.
So...if the club a player spends 6 years at were league runners up, CL runners up, league cup runners up and lost 2 fa cup semi finals and a league cup semi final and then club they move to lose a domestic cup final and a Europa League final in their first season with them at which point does the player look at himself?
If the Inter board don’t try keeping him with all their power then they’re ****ing idiots. He’s putting them back on the map and challenging for stuff having been gash for years. They’ll be taking 3 steps back if he goes.
The problem with Conte is he is very hot-headed and reactive. So you never know how much of these fallouts are down to him overreacting or whether he's not genuinely being supported. But when you look at his time at Inter so far, I don't know what his beef is. I've noticed that he's been whinging about the Inter Milan board - well before Juve were even crowned champions. But it's interesting that his concerns with them aren't in relation to their signings/spending in the transfer market. I spoke to someone who follows Italian football regularly and they told me his issue with the Inter board is that he feels they don't protect him enough from the Italian media which is pathetic if it's true. He's obviously a really talented coach. However, he seems to be one of those guys that will kick off if he doesn't get absolutely everything he wants, in the way that he expects. He got into heated arguments with Juve's management and he got sacked after winning 3 successive Scudettos. He lambasts Chelsea's management and gets fired after delivering the league and an FA Cup in the 2 years he was there. Now it looks to be the same at Inter too. These sequence of events are so regularly familiar that it comes a point where you have to question the man himself.
So it is worth taking seriously and winning judging from fans reactions nothing beats the joy of your club winning trophies....don’t ask me how I know...but I know it’s true.
Ive never believed that This is all because of the money available in the CL but that UEFA Cup trophy is beautiful I want it
He’s definitely a primadonna but ultimately a world class manager. It’s ended painfully for Inter this season having been runners up in Serie A and lost in tonight’s final but you can see they’ll go places if they give him more time and backing. Have his back, let him throw his toys out the pram every now and then and he’ll deliver silverware eventually.
Got a picture of me and my girls holding the Carling Cup at Spurs in 2008. The had it on display in the clubshop and you could get a photo of yourself holding it. Might be considered a nothing trophy but to my 10 and 5 year olds it great. I love that photo
