Was this after today's game? He wasn't picked.Shouldn't they be kicking the manager's car.....or the other Real losers?
Was also in Manchester last night. Not sure the Mancs have that much Spanish. Also it says after losing to Schalke. If it is from 2015, it was also enough for Madrid to go through. Wonder what would happen if they lost the tie.
Would that be the manager who has just delivered the league title (for the 2nd time) and is also the only one who has ever managed a side to back to back champions leagues? Add that to the trophies he helped them win as a player and I think he probably still has some credit in the bank, even with the worlds most fickle fans. We might all dislike his treatment of Bale, but it hasn't generally done him any harm and lets be honest Bale is now taking the piss.
Am I supposed to be impressed? He manages a team subsidised by the Spanish Gov or local Authority, who can afford to bench players of Bales quality and have spoiled the football careers of many who have joined them, while with them at least.through their spoilt brat behaviour. Bale is very lucky of course and is a very wealthy young man but there is not doubt his talent has been wasted as was Linekar's when he was there and numerous others. Zidane is an egotistical prat.
I don't get people who are impressed by teams like Madrid and City who just suck up the talent with their enormous funds. I see nothing to praise when they win stuff. If you hold all the aces and don't win then you are not very good are you.
Look at the release of young talent that Chelsea had hoarded and were forced to use because of their transfer ban. We might never have seen these players if they had gone their usual way and just spent mega millions on ready made talent. These teams do very little for the game of football and get no praise from me.
No you don't have to be impressed Spurf, if I am honest I am not a big fan, but equally its unlikely that their fans will be kicking his car as they just want to finish above Barcelona (where Lineker played!). As for Bale I don't think that Zidane has particularly spoiled his career, or those of many others anymore than any other of the big clubs do. Lineker and Hughes never showed any real remorse about their time in Spain even if neither reached the heights that they did at home.
Madrid fans hate Bale probably because he cost more than Ronaldo yet is half the player. Their entitled mentality makes them think that’s Bale’s fault and that he’s a poor player when the reality is he’s probably Madrid’s best attacker. They also forget the fact he scored the winning goal in the Copa de Rey against Barca and the winning goal in the Champions League against Liverpool, two of the best goals of all time too. In fact he also scored another winning goal in the CL final against Atleti. **I’m classing winning goal as the goal that puts them in the lead, in both CL finals they scored after Bale’s ones but his were the most crucial** He ain’t helped himself in the last 18 months or so but it feels like he knows he’ll never be loved there so why show it back. I got no sympathy for the guy for what it’s worth but that’s just my view of the situation.
Yes of course he payed for Barca which kind of spoils my comment LOL Bale should be heralded and loved as a great player Is he?
Brief check, do Lyon have a tall, barely-mobile Spanish striker who can score a CL quarter final-winning goal with his hip? I mean it'd be ****ing funny if that happened two years in a row...
"Why aren't I getting offered the top jobs?" kvetches somebody who backed a winding-up petition against his previous employer
Sarri’s been sacked. I reckon there might be a chance they’ll go for Poch. Though Allegri or Conte will likely be in the running too, especially if Conte leaves Inter.
Juve are desperate for the CL, it’s all that matters for them I could see Zidane to Juventus (Ronaldo connection and ex Juve legend) and Poch to Madrid
Definitely not beyond the realms of possibility, Poch would probably enjoy an El Classico seeing as he's an ex-Espanyol man.
