not a pen for me. his arms are close to his body and don't move towards the ball in an attempt to stop it. that's ball to hand IMO.
His arms are way too high up to be a natural position and he swings into the ball, for me. If they're not going to be given then every defender should stand like that when someone's shooting from range, as it gives you a great chance of saving it.
the hand ball rule seems to have changed so much since I used to play. I don't think I really understand it anymore. even though his arms are higher than a natural standing position, they are in an instinctive "protect the body" position and remain there. He turns slightly, as anyone would when a ball comes flying at them; that's natural instict too. The ball is hit with a lot of venom and the arms don't change position enough to affect the ball's path. back in my day (listen to me ) that would have been given as ball to hand. i don't understand how you distinguish between the two anymore.
His arms were in an unnatural position, this is what football governing bodies are telling referees to clamp down on. He had no reason for his arms to be positioned like that. It's not as if Jackie Chan leapt of f a 10 foot ledge and tried to drop kick him
Very dissapointed at you guys. All this Arsenal doomsday talk, and you can't even hold on to the points lead by Christmas.
But you have declined. Only a few short years ago you would have been contesting the title with Man Utd. They are still in contention, while realistically, you have no chance.
And yet even by the measure of your own claims that we have suffered a demise, we're still achieving more that Spurs and battering you 5-2. So by your logic, even when we're bad, we're still better than Spurs
1 point difference between Spurs and Arsenal over 56 PL games since August 2011. That seems pretty evenly matched to me! And as the teams have played different fixtures this year, it's not a scientific analysis.
You're right, I'll admit it's quite obvious that Arsenal have declined over the past few years. We used to rival United and match them but now we're fighting it out with piddly little teams like Spurs.
Sorry, I think you have got your terminology incorrect. My " logic" is spot on. You have declined, from Premiership title contenders, to also rans. Meanwhile, we have improved from mid- table to be consistent contenders for a CL place. One team has advanced, the other has regressed.
Yes, I can imagine how embarrassing it would be if this piddly little team finished ahead of you in the table
did it hit a raw nerve with that part of you that loves Spurs? dont think it botherd any of your fellow Spurs fans....being a gobshaite(Gooner) doesnt mean your right.
