Martin J just summed it up perfectly.... Djourou should have picked up 2nd card earlier!! Lol

Mind if I hang out here for a bit? All those plastic Arsenal fans that smile when we win and then post nothing but to say how terrible the team and manager is are doing my head in. At least you guys are consistently anti Arsenal lol

They talk about us that actually support the team through good and bad as wearing rose tinted glasses, but those wallies have got a pair of hindsight binoculars strapped to their chinless heads.

Needed top get that out of my system - now bring on the power shift, best team in London stuff. It's a lot easier to take from you than some of our own alleged supporters :)

You might want to suggest that they replace your board with the following picture after every loss, HF.

It would save a lot of time.

What makes me laugh is that Jayramfootball's quote of mine, that he has in his signature, is coming true with every month that passes <laugh>

When we win our two games in-hand, we'll be 9 points ahead of you. We could well be 20 points ahead of you, by the end of the season. Jayramfootball is merely making himself look a fool.

Mind you, the Drog's Ballacks also said (on a Gooner thread) that Spurs will slip up so that 3rd & 4th can be reclaimed by the Gooners and the Chavs <doh>

You couldn't make it up!

To be fair, we are in a good mood and you may not enjoy that?

He might prefer that to hanging about on the Emosenal board, HD.
They get the knives out for Wenger, but I'm sure that they end up self-harming with them before the night's out.

Just seen the Lampard foul.
How the **** did he stay on for that?
Looked a red card all the way.

With my neutral hat on, Arsenal were very unlucky not to get that penalty, there's no way the ref didn't have a clear view of it.

Chelsea however.... Cole should have had atleast 3 yellow cards and Lampard a straight red. I saw Webb was 4th official, who was ref? That match was totally out of his control.

Walton, YV.

To be honest you could probably name any Premierleague ref and I'd have rolled my eyes and said "of course".

Congrats to Routledge for getting his first PL goal in a hundred odd games and 7clubs. Not sure if all those 7 clubs were in the PL though, it doesn't sound right somehow.

A City win works best for us - that way, the West Brom result will mean one of the (self-proclaimed) chasing pack won;t make any group up on us regardless of the West Brom result and, if we gain three points, we move a little bit further ahead of them. At this point in the season the important thing is to have a few points separating us from the clubs in fourth, fifth and sixth - we should leave talk of closing the gap on first and second until the number of remaining games ticks down to single figures.

Have to disagree, what works best for me is that we we win our next 20 games and the two teams above us draw when they play each other.

i get the theory....we dont want to peak too soon and with that comes its own pressure of staying at the top etc...thats if it goes like i hoped..but id much rather do a Blanchflower and aim very high so that if we do fall short...we still taste some glory<ok>

Winning our next 20 games means we can look upward, but in the short term we need to make sure there's distance between us and the teams behind. If they have to bust a gut to catch up, they'll have to do it against the Manc clubs as well.

That's the problem that both of them, City especially, have had - battering teams by four or five in the early stages of the season doesn't actually mean much (look at Chelsea last season), what's needed is consistent wins. Fifteen 1-0 wins would likely win us the title, ten 6-0 wins won't - especially if, because the goals aren't going in, the team start to get nervy in the 85th minute as it's still 0-0.
