North London team loses after conceding an early goal to a team tipped for a relegation battle

No, not us, the other one
Barnet?

They actually managed to outdo us on the late **** ups this week, conceding a 101st minute equaliser to Potters Bar in the FA Cup qualifiers.

Missed a penalty, lost a player to injury in added time and conceded from a corner on the last kick of the game. Ouch.

PNP your knowledge of current football is amazing you seem to know what's happening with every team.

For some reason all the ex-Arsenal pundits are chipping in with opinions about which of our players should leave to pursue trophies

Because as we all know, back-to-back FA Cups encouraged Giroud, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlane and Sanchez to stay at Arsenal...
Not very good examples of losing top players though.

Giroud is very under rated IMO, always turned up against us - Sanchez was top drawer for the Goons and The Ox is a very good player, and one who when fully fit will be a shoe in for England. That just leaves Walnutt who was always massively overrated

Like other massively overrated players who scored a prominent goal for England Owen, Beckham, McMahon, Barnes, off the top of my head.
Except McMahon managed to become overated without actually scoring a goal for England. <laugh>

Who famously scored at the Maracana - though Barnes goal is the one everyone remembers
ok now i'm confused as in my memory Chamberlain crossed to Hateley who nodded in and got a transfer abroad ( Monaco ? ) on the back of it .

PS no way is Barnes overrated if anything he is underrated . He was a stunning player but unfortunately he played for England - whose own "fans" racially abused him .

You are quite right - Hateley and Barnes were the scorers that night - And I knew that, Spurs scoring 3 times in 45 mins obviously clouded my mind
