I am now not surprised at all that finally a top manager has come out with it. It had to happen, you cannot keep giving blokes a year or two tops. It had to get to the point where the top managers think 'I do not need an employer like that'. Its the sheer arrogance of that Russian prick that he thinks he can get everything he wants. Nice one Pep! <applause> tell him to just poke his scummy club up his arse! I will love it if they end up stuck with the Spanish Waiter :D.

then again, it's in the Fail, so there's bound to be more to it.

Browsing the Gooners' board, I note, with interest, that they haven't posted on their "Laugh At Spurs" thread for a few days.

Funny, that.

"Chuckles" PESKIE, and his play-mates, don't appear to have anything to laugh at, right now.

Who was that Gooner who said he'd bet his house on Arsenal finishing 10 points clear of us?
<laugh>

I bet he lives at home with his mum, anyway.

Yes, it was, YV. It's in Croydon's sig, about 5 posts up^.

I said 9 to 10 points too, without seeing CPofL's post.

You can still quote me on that, btw.

Our season will only get better. Our completely new forward line has started scoring, and we are getting cover in the midfield, with injured players coming back. That you are behind us by a goal-difference of 9 despite that so far is quite shocking. Have to do better to keep up from now on. <whistle>

Wouldn't expect an Arsenal fan not to be positive about their chances of finishing above us. It's the only thing they can hope for these days. We can all talk up our team how we want but that new forward line couldn't score against Villa, who have the second worst GD in the league(since you brought it up). The GD between us is clearly skewed by the 6 goal swing from the previous game but you keep grasping on to it until we go ahead of you on points and it counts for 0.

LOL, sorry but considering the last 2 decades or so this comment is hilarious.

You may go ahead in points again at some stage this season, like in previous seasons, but what counts is the points after all 38 games.

Mind you having single digit point difference to Arsenal is a huge achievement for a club of your stature and success record; I can understand why HiaG is excited at the prospect of you guys having less than a 10 point difference to us at the end of the season.

Why would you consider the last 2 decades when I said "these days"? :undecided:

"a chance of finishing above [Spurs]" is not something we look forward too, finishing above you is something we expect, it's the status quo. The margin of superiority is the only thing that is sometimes in question.

Well at least we don't get beaten 8-2. Anyway I was hoping that we might catch up some points on Chelsea this week but I see they're playing Fulham at home. Fulham have faded a bit just recently but I don't know if that will continue with a man I consider a very good manager. I'm hoping they'll be back to winning ways soon starting on Wednesday but I can't see it.

To go back I think Arsenal fans do care about finishing above Spurs as a few seasons ago under Jol we were a few points ahead and Arsenal had to win all their remaining matches which they did. There was A LOT of comments about finishing lower than Spurs so stop the highbrow stuff gent.

Who said that then? If it's me I think you're still struggling to get to grips with what I said.
