From the BBC's article on last night's game at Chelsea...

"Why are people celebrating time wasting, appalling acting, gamesmanship..."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I watched the entire game and didn't see Drogba once!

<laugh>

Arsenal's away form this season has been utterly appalling, so I thought I'd put it in perspective.

They've won three matches on the road so far in this campaign.
Our third away win was against West Ham at the Olympic Stadium on September 23rd.
We surpassed that the next week by beating Huddersfield 4-0 on September 30th.

They've picked up just 13 points away from home.
If we'd have stopped playing away games after the Huddersfield trip, then they'd have one more point than us and significantly worse goal difference.
That's the best part of eight months later! <laugh>

An Arsenal fan travels all the way to Stoke hoping to see them go down the pan? I guess he was laughing all the way back to Woolwich.Hope he didn't leave a mess in the ferry, too!
Was it Piskie,Hiag?

OK - here we go again - Ultimate Conundrum time......

Spanners to win to keep open the possibility of a 2nd place PL finish or Utd to spank Dildo United and keep them technically in the drop zone????

Personally, think that even if Utd lose tonight then they will get a point at least on Sunday and the comedy value of the Spanners demise is too strong a pull. <laugh>

Edit: as has been wisely pointed out - Spanners are already safe. Redundant question.... therefore.....

‘I’m forever blowing bubbles..........’ :smiley-finger007:

Couldn’t give a toss about west ham. Utterly irrelevant how they get on.
The chance of us finishing second and it helping our CL group pot appeals much more. Happy for the spammers to smash united tonight.

West Ham can't go down and there's still the faintest possibility of us catching Utd, so a spam win would be fine. A nice, dull 1-0, ta.

QPR have sacked Ian 'Chuffed as a Badger' Holloway so that they can employ Steve McLaren.............Sorry, that doesn't compute. If the article said that they were replacing Holloway with my senile old mum, a bag of spanners or a head of broccoli, then okay........

But Steve McLaren? He must be using that Jedi mind thingy.........."Pep Guardiola is not the manager you're looking for."

He's hardly an inspiring, charismatic choice, but he might not be a bad choice for QPR.
Won the League Cup with Boro and the Dutch title with FC Twente, who got relegated this season.
He's had a very mixed time in management, but getting it done early is sensible.
Too many sides leave managers on the verge of the sack all summer, then get rid after a few games of the new season.
