  1. Cheers HBIC, but I was thinking more of any injuries picked up since his arrival..... can't remember any mention but I don't follow that data closely.

I'm almost lost for words . Weren't we safely in the CL at one stage? We may be referred to,in the future,as the nearly team!
I'd like Spurs to be the Calypso Kings not the Collapso Kings!!!!!!!

Based on the glaringly obvious differences in recent form between us and Chelsea, the next two fixtures for respective clubs make me extremely nervous. If we end up playing UEFA Cup football next season, I think this capitulation above all will be unforgivable.

Chelsea play Huddersfield at home and toon away.
    Liverpool play Brighton at home.
We play Toon and Leicester at home.

Liverpool and Spurs were home and dry 4 games ago. We were 10 points above Chelsea and Liverpool were 13 points above them. I would say one team would be kicking themselves but they'd probably miss!

Goal difference could be vital come next Sunday.

Pool are plus 6 on us and we are plus 9 on Chelsea.

gonna be a very tense week.

We’ve spoken a lot about what we’re faced with in our remaining 2 games and the potential problems/banana skins we might encounter.
However, it’s worth noting that Chelsea NEED 6 points from their remaining 2. At least their game against Huddersfield is still a huge one for Huddersfield too. If they defend like they did against City, they are capable of making Chelsea drop points.
My only fear is that when it matters for Chelsea, they’ll do the job.

the only way there won't be any final day drama for us is for Chelsea to draw or lose and us to win.
In all honesty I can not see that happening.
can see us drawing and Chelsea getting a thumping win making it a final day with all three of us on the same points.
    <yikes>

I guess a week without sleep, followed by a week of **** from the chavs in school (adults and little gits alike) and self loathing until the new season starts it is then...that's my summer sorted <wah>

Maybe, just maybe, Benitez benitez will want to get a win over Chelsea. Not just for the Newcastle fans, but also as he was their ex boss, briefly.

I can’t believe we’re in this position where we’re thinking about every eventuality with 2 games left and a 10 point lead at one stage. It’s ridiculous quite frankly.
The spurs fan in me knows that if 1 team out of the 3 fighting for 2 spots is going to fail, it’s gonna be us. <yikes>

I genuinely see us needing help from the other teams, rather than being in control of our own destiny.

Thank **** our two games are at home, and the fans who have tickets to the games will do us proud. We’re really gonna need that support.

And RCL, you need to produce your magic. No ****ing about mate, you need to be on it!! <laugh>

I can't agree with this enough. Wednesday night is not one of those nights for waiting for the team to light the blue touch paper. Given recent matches, we're gonna have to drag a performance out of them and a good start would mean so much.

If there's one thing that I hate most about modern football, it's how flat stadia are before kick off. You could hear a mouse fart minutes before most games whereas big games used to be at fever pitch 20 minutes before kick off, back in the day. Knowing you've got a seat has taken away the need to get there early to ensure your view.

I'd dearly love to get some of that back for Wednesday and Sunday, at least. When the opposition came onto the pitch they were hit with a wall of noise. Getting that back from the new South Stand would be fabulous.

Hopefully Benitez has some sort of axe to grind after his time at Chelsea and isn`t too bothered about the result of the Spurs v Newcastle match.

For me, this happens because the attackers always look for Kane. We have been **** since his comeback. Prior to his return our 3 attacking mids were all scoring and I made this point during them few games because I took great interest in noticing how the attackers were going for goal using other methods instead of looking for Kane.

That goal Eriksen scored comes to mind..can't recall who against, outside area, smart curl to the keepers right. If Kane was on the pitch that ball was nailed on to be played. One of a few examples.

Kane is not doing his job due to injury and it's affects have dominoed down

Poch needs to stop breastfeeding them.

Chelsea seem to be in a 1-0 Italian mode. Time for them to go into a 0-1 mode.
Question is:- what have Chelsea done now they couldn't earlier on,apart from losing.
....and a note to Spurs coaches.....while we persist in going sideways and backwards,it gives to the opposing defenders time to block the middle stopping Harry and Deli.
I think Rose has lost his former pace and Sanchez will come second in a race for two down the middle!

A draw in that game means that both clubs can overtake Huddersfield, if they win their other game. Okay, Southampton have to beat Citeh. Alternatively, Southampton win v Swansea and then Swansea beat Stoke. If that happens and Huddersfield lose against Chelsea and Arsenal, then Huddersfield go down on goal difference.

They need 2 points for guaranteed safety as they have the worst goal difference of the three clubs.

Huddersfield shutting up shop for 90 minutes against Chelsea and getting a point would be bloody lovely. They’ve done it at city already...

The BBC had this story which was clearly not fact checked correctly. I had to make some necessary adjustments.
