A terrible way for Buffon's CL career to end. I didn't think it was a penalty....and Ronaldo should have had 7 or 8 yellow cards for diving.

Still, now I know what it takes to get sent off in a CL game these days....

Would loved to have seen Buffon launch the ball at Oliver from point blank range. <laugh>
The PL refs are an embarrassment.

Leaving Lucas Vaquez alone in the box was Juve's only defensive slip of the second half. After Blaise Matuidi scored the third it was pretty even.

Juventus were superb going forward but to leave that amount of space was a huge error. Once they calm down they will see it was a massive error.

<laugh>.....European football expert......really?............<laugh>

I disagree Brian. Bang someone in the back in the penalty area and it's good night.....or should be.Serve's 'em right for all that nasty late game hacking. That's why I don't watch Italian league football/hacking.

Smithy, it looked soft to me and Real players were throwing themselves to the floor all night....but it's about opinions. I'm not sure 100 different angles would give a unanimous verdict. A decision like that will make trouble for VAR in the World Cup.

Stupid move to jump into him like that, though. There's not much contact, but why try and tackle like that in the box? Very naive.

Sure, but it's the last minute, the guy's chasing back and he puts in a challenge to put the forward off as much as anything. It's a decision for the home team, for me.

If it was in Real Madrid's penalty area, it doesn't get given.

no, the bottling doesn't come out when you lose a game. The bottling comes out when you lose a big and important game that is crucial to your season.

It doensn't come out for just any game :)

also not up in arms, you can say it as often as you like but its comical for no spurs fans as all know the what a bottling is :emoticon-0105-wink:

what...like losing to your top 4 rival at home after going 1 goal up?
or pissing a 7 point lead over a top 4 rival up against a wall so you end up 10 points behind that rival 13 game later?
Or dropping from nailed on 2nd to fighting to hold onto 5th in 10 games?

just asking like :bandit:

Oh, my heart bleeds for him....and Chiellini.....and Allegri......<laugh> Still the wrong decision.....probably.
It's not given in the PL, and it surely wouldn't have been given at the other end. Still, I would say it should be given, because of the push. It's okay if you bump with your body, within reason, but a push and a swipe with the leg that doesn't touch the ball should be a pen, for me. It really does look like a foul.

Well, it's too bad Juve lacked a little something in the end. Terrible break for SZZZZZ as well.

Did anyone see the goal scored by Ruben Neves last night ?
I've just seen it and it's an absolute beauty of a strike. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the PL a next season, because he's shown all year that he's far too good to be playing in the Championship.
