Everton's new striker Cenk Tosun has mentioned us during his interviews, recalling scoring the winner against us for Besiktas.
I couldn't remember the game, so I looked it up and now I know why it had slipped my mind.
Rested players because we were already through and Besiktas turned the floodlights off twice during the match! <laugh>

No doubting Coutinhos talent - for that alone, Pool will suffer for the remainder of this season.
Also, their efforts to replace him will be fraught with problems. €142m sounds a lot, but that’s only €100m up front, of which 3/4 of that has already been accounted for with VVD.
And as we well know, clubs entering the market post-windfall are sitting prey to over-inflated prices.
So - who will be available for €25m? Charlie Adam or Mark Noble, anyone?? <laugh>

Gooners will be delighted..... Got told to take a walk by Aubameyang and end up with a journeyman defender now 30!!
But at least they only paid €25m - Liverpool could be in for him!! <laugh>
 
Can Barcelona afford to pay extravagant transfer fees because they and Real Madrid get handouts from the government? I remember reading something along these lines a while ago.

The vvd money was available before anyone sniffed Ford was off, his fee has nothing to do with what we paid for vvd.

I believe that's a new record for managers sacked in a single season.

Eddie Howe will surely be feeling the pressure soon. They haven't been right since last January.

You really think the deal only happened today <laugh>

Why do you think you kept hold of Coutinho in the summer (when you didn't spend on VvD) but decided to sell him in January whilst you are still chasing top 4 and the CL (but have coincidentally paid out for VvD)
You now have enough left in the bank to pay the promise you made for Keita next summer, I have to hand it to your owners, they know how to play the sell to buy game <ok>

My favourite result today......lil old Fleetwood holding Leicester and their old center forward to a 0-0 draw.
I have been following Fleetwood's progress since they came into the Football League.I guess with their limited resources it's a wonder they've got to where they are today.....after all,they ain't Manchester City. But why not? There might be a lunatic out there who sleeps on a bed of money ready to pathe the club to glory.......

Remembering what happened to Darlington or Gretna, that's not necessarily something to wish upon them.
