Plus Bale up against a booked Ivanovic would've got him sent off. This is turning into a rout <laugh>

  2. My Chelsea-supporting mate said he was glad that Terry didn't play against us, and that the ban did Chelsea a massive favour.

As i said Arsenal have had harder fixtures than us so far, anyone who disagrees with that really should start studying football a lot more carefully, words fail me etc... oh and such a person must be Jayram, whoever he is.

Well as I predicted Everton failed to win at QPR, as long as AVB gets his act together I fancy us to finish above them

    Liverpool Away
    Stoke Away
    City Away
    Chelsea Home

    Thats hardly much harder then

    Newcastle Away
    Man Utd Away
    Reading away
    Chelsea Home

Granted I just added in reading to make it equal number, yet they lost to Norwich away so that doesn't say much for their quality.

The loss against Norwich had more to do with the shocking attitude than the quality of our squad and in a way that's worse.

Aye, thats fair enough, yet overall I don't see how people are saying you had a hard start compared to us, when you faced one tougher away game? and as we both faced promoted clubs away from home which we won and you lost then overall I would our starts have been fairly even, in terms of opposition faced.

The worry for you, is that the players still play with such a poor attitude away from home when you have Wenger as manager, that shouldn't be happening.

Just to say, I didn't mean you with my last post, Boss. It was aimed at the pompous, er...person, posting above.

I still think Arsenal can go to Old Trafford and win. If Spurs did so and in the manner they did there is no reason why Arsenal can't, especially given Arsenal's performance at Eastlands. Until United get Vidic and Smalling back and fit, they are there for the taking IMO. United's next 2 games are against Chelsea and Arsenal and I'd be surprised if they didn't lose at least one of those.

I think all Three of the London clubs (Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal) have narrowed the gap on the Manchester clubs in terms of quality of First XI, only problem is the Manchester clubs have more depth than Arsenal or Spurs. City more than Chelsea as well.

November has seem really cracking fixtures on the cards at the top of the league.

    United v Arsenal
    City v Spurs
    Arsenal v Spurs
    Chelsea v City

Throw Spurs v West Ham and Chelsea v Liverpool in there and it's a great month

Arsenal have had a harder start as they've played 5 away games to our three. As I say, after 12 games when we've both played 6 at home and away then we can judge fairly who's had the best start.

Loved Harry on motd When he said,If Arsenal finish in the top4,it will be Arsen's greatest Achivement, and he reckons Spurs will be in the mix at the end of the season.

GHoddle, for me when we talk about the best start the abstract side of things must be considered. For example we are sitting above Arsenal but we have a brand new coach whereas they have old established Arsene so maybe relatively speaking we've had a MUCH better start. I've always thought that a good finish is better than a good start and it's only over the course of a season that you can properly judge matters.

Yes, agree with this. He is top notch on MOTD (from a Spurs perspective - Piskie and SuperJack may not agree). I love his confidence in us. Levy must have something very bad on him <laugh>

Yes, I really don't understand all this who's got the best start nonsense. What does it matter? This is a marathon, not a sprint. Look how far we were ahead of The Goons last season, and look how it ended up! That's what The Goons will point to. And quite rightly. It's where you finish the race, not where you are after less than a quarter of it, that matters.

So for me Spain Chelsea have had a good start but will they maintain this sort of football or will they fade towards the end? They had ups and downs last season and could do so again.

Now I was a bit surprised that Everton only drew with Hoops yesterday but I hope they thrash Liverpool next week. I like meeting Everton at their best and it's my favourite fixture of the season.

Let's just hope we don't do a last season and fade towards the end. A good win against Saints is vital.
