Palace 1 - 0 up at Leicester. If Hodgson can get Townsend and Zaha's crossing accuracy up to snuff, Benteke's lethal in the air. Unfortunately for them, that's a huge IF.

Have Leicester had their Christmas party, then?
So many defensive mistakes. Why didn't he just let that first ball go out, for a start? Awful.

Benteke's brilliant for counter-attacking sides that are effective at set-pieces.
If you get the ball in to him early or target him with crosses, free-kicks and corners, then he guarantees you goals.
Liverpool did none of that, so he flopped. He'd be crap for us too, I think.

    14:10 LEICESTER 0-2 C PALACE

83: CLOSE! Crystal Palace continue to see the better of the chances as we head towards full time, with Loftus-Cheek striding down the field before picking out Townsend to his left.

The winger then decides to go for goal from just inside the box, but he powers his effort over the crossbar.

Playing Devil's Advocate, Townsend could've still done a job for us if he hadn't mouthed off at the coach.
Wouldn't be starting every week, but he'd get game time and offer us an option from the bench.
Probably not what he needs at this point in his career, though.

Not for me.....I couldn't watch him blast the ball into the crowd any more. Sometimes you have to say "Enough is enough.......Newcastle for you, mate"

  16. This 100%!
One decent cross this afternoon, followed by some generally poor decision-making, fan-threatening shots and then failing to track back with Gray towards the end. Sums him up to a T.
    Onwards and upwards......(for us)

Yes I agree he was too wasteful. His biggest downfall. We always seem to have one player we need to hate LOL can't think who that might be atm. Do Palace need a fast moving heavy too? Pair him with Townsend and nobody would have a clue where the ball was going. It might just work.
