Their transfer window was rubbish, paid over the odds for average players and for some reason took Rooney back. I'd take Barkley off their hands though.
I'd want Jelle Klaasen for that money.Davy Klaasen, £24m?
"Sorry mate, it looks like a write off."
It's looking like their plan for bringing in a new manager consisted of thinking Watford would let Marco Silva go without a fight, which happens to sound remarkably similar in approach and in result as their neighbours' plan for bringing in a centre back during the summer.Koeman was sacked exactly a month ago. It's shambolic that they still haven't replaced him.
One for each goal conceded to the 12th place Serie A team, without an away win this season. They made them look like a cross between the 70's Dutch team and the Real Madrid team that owned the European Cup in the late 50's.In August Everton were being heralded as having the best transfer window of all but the Manchester clubs.
Every pundit raved about Rooney coming home and they all ignored the fact that both Spurs (2013) and Liverpool (2014) crashed and burned having spent £100m and £120m respectively on 6 or 7 new players.
Everton spent over £150m excluding the colossal expenditure on Rooney yet not one "expert" suggested they'd struggle.
To spend that amount to produce the worst Everton team in around 20 yrs is a special kind of incompetence only made worse by sacking a manager and not replacing them a month later!
They should be very concerned at the embarrassing attendance today...people are not turning up cos the football is so poor.
Anyone know the attendance for the Everton match?
Looked awful on tv
Moysie has his own problems at West Ham. Rafa isn't right for Newcastle so they should approach him."Sam, Sam.......Bill Kenwright here........Look, we're sorry, we lost your number..........Go **** ourselves?...........Not even for £15m p.a.?........okay, thanks Sam."
"Hello.........Ronald,........it's Bill.......Yes, I know. How did things ever get so far?..........Stick it where?..........No need to be nasty, Ronald."
"Moyesie, mate.........If you leave the Dildo Bros., I'll get you a 7 month contract........Moyesie?..........You can sign Januzaj and Pienaar.......please?"
I said they'd struggle, their transfers were turd and was laughed at on the arsenal board. In August Everton were being heralded as having the best transfer window of all but the Manchester clubs.
