I think that's a really good signing by Watford. Seems a total waste by Chelsea, unless they've got a buyback clause. He looks capable of stepping up in that position and they only got £5m for him. That's **** all to them.
He only had a year left on his contract and the Chavs were in no position to negotiate, considering he's 22 and Abu Hamza can count his number of Premier League starts on his right hand.
It seems that Chelsea actually did insist on a buyback clause and a sell-on fee, too: http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...-in-55m-nathaniel-chalobah-deal-a3588146.html Made little sense to me, otherwise. They could get more for him or just let his contract run out. They don't give a **** about £5m.
Matic and Costa given permission not to go on tour with Chelsea. Which means Utd and Atletico Madrid should have new players soon.
City spent £180m in 2016/17 and have so far spent another £135m this summer making it £325m so far. United spent £157m in 2016/17 and havd so far spent another £102m this summer making it £259m so far. Great managers though
If you do not see the irony of two of the "greatest managers" having to spend a third of a billion and a quarter of a billion in 12 months then fine. City and united both had top players at the club prior to this spending spree. Spurs have since Pochettino joined 3 seasons ago Spurs have spent £140m and have recouped £180m. NKoudou is listed as undisclosed but was widely reported as being £10m so I added that on. And I put walker in as £47m. This is why the two "great managers" are being mocked on here. They are simply throwing money (at an already expensively assembled squad) to make a team. At least united won things but city spent £180m last season to finish 4th. He had Aguero, Kompany, Yaya, and Stirling etc. already there on top of this. Most (if not all) other managers would be ridiculed in the media for that season but he has excuses made for him...not his team, has to get used to the premier league etc. http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id
http://www.espnfc.com/liverpool/sto...ea-how-liverpool-defend-in-debut-jurgen-klopp Jurgen Klopp said new arrival Mohamed Salah "had absolutely no idea how we defend" when he played his first game. First Mouser comment: "He'll fit right in."
Aldi sell cherry tomatoes for 59p per 250g pack. Waitrose sell them for £1.29. Harrods sell them for £2.59. Same product, different price.
You're missing my point. The media go on and on about these two great managers, yet they only ever seem to sign players that anyone who likes football knows is good. You need a right back for example and you're managing in the PL. Just go out and sign the best right back for huge money. Where's the skill in that?
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko for a fee believed to be around £40million. Looks like Matic is on his way out.
