Will winning the FA Cup help Spurs to : 1. Increase their global fanbase (merchandising etc) 2. Earn at least 40m quid for playing just 6 games 3. Attract the quality of player needed to maintain/improve the performance shown in the PL over the past 2 seasons
Yes you are missing the point. To address your post.. We've had countless Seasons were we played great football and won zilch. We got nothing but abuse from the media.
What are you struggling to grasp here? When we qualify for the Champions League but don't win a trophy. The criticism is that we are 'wrongly prioritising a Champions League place and winning a trophy is more important' When we win a trophy but don't qualify for the UCL we get ' Qualification is more important than winning a trophy'. If you cant see the hypocrisy in that frankly there's no helping you.
Thank you for your insights. What about "ore" mined from 'Library' ground ?? I have heard stories from one mine owner that he extracts 60,000 ( + 1) units every week from just a 100 x 75m area.
How quickly the fickleness + "do not as I do, do as I say" hypocrisy spread thru Goon supporters over just two consecutive weekends in May.
This season Arsenal finished 5th in the league, and Tottenham finished 2nd. Looking forward into next season and beyond, which of the two teams do you regard as being on the up and being the likely to continue to improve in terms of performance and influence ? Because I think most people would regard it as being Tottenham. This season won't be remembered as the season where Arsenal won another FA Cup. It will be remembered as the season where Arsenal faded from the top tier of clubs in England, and where Tottenham took over with Chelsea as the force of football in London. THAT is the point.
60001 ounces of gold is currently worth £59,391,038.41. Which incidently is about what the goons have paid Ozil in salary plus what it cost to buy him. I'd rather have 60 gold bars, or even 30, or even 10, or even 1 actually.
Fcuk me, my post has put things into perspective. To make 60,001 ounces of gold it has taken 800 people working for 6 months 12 hours per shift sweating their balls off. 3 people have died. Ozil has yet to break into a sweat.
They may have finished 5th in the championship but they have had a more successful season than Spurs: they have won a trophy!!!! please log in to view this image
Arsenal finished 2nd Last Season Tottenham finished 3rd. So that negates your point really. I don't think the last years form is that relevant. Look at Chelsea Arsenal always have a Feb/March collapse but nearly always finish this Season strongly. This year our poor form carried on far longer than it normally does..(but Wenger did right the ship at the end and only missed UCL by 1 point) I think 9/10 times this team finishes considerably higher than they did this year. Plus you need to consider it is harder to maintain good form in the league when the Champions League games start coming in thick and fast. So yeah - I would actually bet on Arsenal to finish above Tottenham next Season.
