On paper Chelsea's games against United and Everton both away are the toughest. I'll say no more before I fall foul of SotM and RCL .
Oh well, at least better GD now (should it come to that at the end) . We shall see next week : 1. If Spurs are the Bournemouth PL cup final 2, What mood Jose + Man Utd are in to settle things with Chelsky
I am not. If both of them need the 3 points as much as (or probably by then more than) Spurs, that helps the cause. Teams that only want to avoid defeat are our burden.
Pep says Bravo is as good as Neuer. Either Neuer bowls good slower ball bouncers too or Pep's talking about someone else. He's become very chippy and defensive of his signings since he joined City. Been found out, I think.
He is no Conte (taken an under-performing - by their costs/ability squad + added new players to cause a likely title-winning improvement in performance) .
Glad for you, RDBD!! For me, despite how well we are playing (and we are brilliant currently) those are games I would never be confident of......
Pep's known nothing but genius and talent in his career. Ineptitude and failure are new to him. He may overcome them with unlimited resources and time. However, it doesn't look great for him right now. He is short of half a team and that's a long way short given where we and Chelsea are in comparison. Conte's had experience of lesser clubs and making allowance for limitations. He's a pragmatist. Against Citeh he got ahead and tried to shut Pep down and just about got it done.
Of the many, many things the media have a collective blindness for, it's the fact that City's squad has been hopelessly imbalanced for years - and yet no matter how much money is thrown at the squad, that money always appears to be spent on improving areas of the team where they're already strong and never addressing the areas where they have been weak for several seasons. The most obvious example has been how the club have had been fully aware that Kompany cannot be expected to play a full season for several years, yet have they remedied the situation by signing a defender who can both replicate Kompany's performances as well as offer leadership to the team? No, they haven't, they just threw £30m at one centre back after another and sat back as Mangala, Otamendi and Stones all found their own unique ways to play like utter crap. Similar can be said for how they repeatedly failed to sign anyone who can replicate what Yaya Toure has given the team for several seasons - and that the only time they could arguably say they did, when they signed Gundogan, it's less a matter of identifying what the team needs and more because Guardiola wanted to get rid of Toure due to the long-standing issue between the two. Once again: **** John Stones with a concrete dildo.
4th place might not be good enough for CL. If Leicester win the CL and Utd win the EL, then 4th will qualify for the EL. That would be funny for Liverpool or City.
Do you really think Leicester have a chance in the CL? Even as I type that I'm thinking yeah and what chance did they have to win the PL last season. Lightning does strike twice it's well documented, anyway we had to suffer an abortive 4th place so why not Arsenal or City they never do much in the CL do they.
