I think you're probably right, but Bertrand was off side and then it comes down to how you interpret the law

He's not interfering. It's just a bad decision.
Mourinho would kill the officials if that was the other way round.

It's official: Leicester will not be defending their title, as they can achieve no more than sixty points - and the Chavs have more points than that

So where's that gobshite mod of theirs now?

I'm increasingly thinking that, if relegated, they should go through a ceremony to have the title of 'Champions' removed. They lose the use of that title and have to refer to themselves as 'Total Fluke Winners' in future, forever. So their Honours Board would read:

Premier League Total Fluke Winners - 2014-15
League Cup Winners - 1964-65; 1996-97; 1999-2000

Also, they cheated to get themselves promoted by spending far in excess of their entitlement on transfers under league rules. They have not been punished for that as they haven't played in the Championship since...Oh, look.....

Citeh were allowed their 5th goal to stand against Monaco when Sane had to pass it past Sterling if I recall ...... think the same interpretation applies?

2-0. Game over.
Saints have been the better side, but poor defending and officials have cost them.
Can't see them getting back into this now.

Same old, same old. Offsides don't apply to United, as we already knew. But now offsides even apply to opposition players when they're a yard onside! Fairplay to Marriner, the offside call was nothing to do with him but he resisted United players surrounding the refereee, trying to get Stevens sent off and booked Lingard for the ridiculous protesting.

Neville really shouldn't be allowed anywhere near United games though. He's already called Gabiadini's wrongly disallowed goal "a matter of inches" and a "split second decision" when he was a foot onside, and then called for Stevens to be sent off until he saw a third replay. It's only half-time! By his own admission, he's a fan first, so why give him these opportunities when he's unsuitable?

Moaning aside, Lingard's finish was very good and Southampton have playeed very well throughout. Such a shame we'll never know what would've happened if the first goal would've stood. A bit like how we'll never know what would've happened if Vidic had been sent off against Villa in the final some years back.

... okay so I did not do too well with the "moaning aside" :D

The more I see there goal the more shocking it is that there is no video replay for disallowed goals.

There needs to either be a change of rule so offside is offside regardless of whether or not they are interfering with play or there must be some kind of review system.

Getting that decision right would have taken a matter of seconds.
