Darmian replaced by Mata, Carrick to centre-half and Rojo to left-back? Er, ok... I can see what Mourinho's doing, but I'm not sure all that was quite necessary.
Have to say - West Ham did well to spot that Lanzini from the UAE because he looks like a very gifted player and has settled into their team nicely. Only 23 years old too. Every time I've watched him play, he's looked good. Could potentially make a move to a bigger club if he carries on his impressive performances.
He's intentionally tainted it! He's talented, but a bit lightweight and inconsistent. Very good technically and seems to have an eye for goal, but his workrate's a little suspect. Might be too much to have both him and Payet in the same side, as they're both luxury players, to some extent. Bit weird how he ended up in the UAE at his age, really. Wonder why he went there?
PA system still knackered at the London Stadium. Signage still dreadful. Hundreds of under-trained temporary stewards. Still a shambles. (Comment on BBC Football Live) That's what happens when a corrupt local Government sells off public assets at a knock-down price to spivs operating in the porn business.
Carroll on...Payet off? You bring on your biggest aerial threat and take off your best crosser of the ball? Bizarre one from Bilic.
Mhykihtarianana (sp?) comes off for Smalling and Carrick pushes back up into midfield. 1-0 against 10-men? Let's go defensive.
Nordtveit (ex-Arsenal player) been given the run around by Rashford. To be fair, he's not a natural right back, but his lack of spatial awareness is frightening to watch. Weak link.
He anticipated the introduction of Carroll. With full backs always pushing forward and Pogba now regularly getting into the box, I wouldn't say it was defensive.
Ibrahimovic makes it 2-0 and he's miles offside. Bilic might have something to say about the officials today!
Reds for their opponents whilst they get away with worse and offside goals galore. United are back to their usual "luck" and it's the only reason they're within a shout of top 4.
6 wins on the trot for United, starting with the win against us. I've watched 3 of those games and cannot say I've been particularly impressed by them. They're getting a lot of decisions in their favour and haven't really faced a decent side since us. Trouble is, looking at their fixtures I can't see when or how they'll start dropping points on a regular basis. They haven't really had and won't really have a 'tough month' at all this season. I wonder why?
