Everyone folding like a pack of cards for Pool this year. Very Leicester like in their fortune. Could be their year.

B'mouth showing others how it is done. Teams like Liverpool thrive off of fear - the fear that their deadly attackers plant in the opposition mindset. If you can look beyond that fear and just throw caution to the wind, it becomes apparent that there is a very soft underbelly petrified of being exposed.

that is a fair point though i would say it is either
a) play defensively blocking off the middle and catch us on the break
b) Just go for the jugular against our powderpuff defence

TBH today shows the influence Matip has had for us this season where whilst not looking great defensively at least we weren't panicking, On the evidence of today we miss him more that Coutinho .

Ground closed on City and Pool, both of whom are without key players due to injury/suspension for more or less the rest of December. United drawing with Everton would make this a lovely weekend that has gone a long way to clear the gloom of last week.

But a win at OT next week is crucial it has to be said. If we're serious about top 4 or even a title challenge, we have to be picking up more points against our nearest rivals.

The similarities with the Sturridge-Suarez season are emphasised by games like this. That season, teams were so scared of being punished every time they gave the ball away that they simply forgot how to play football. Your defence wasn't good enough then and still isn't now. Matip has looked excellent value for money but you can improve the GK department surely?

I tell you what, with Harry finding form and Alderweireld coming back in shortly, this season is beginning to look very open. Looking at results.

What a league!
