At the peak of his powers he might have won us something. He could have got us to the WC Final in '82, I'm pretty sure of that.

BBC's Dan Roan pointing out that there's no honour amongst thieves:

"A blame game is now developing over the violent scenes at West Ham's new home. The club says the stadium's owners and matchday operator need to bolster policing, stewarding & segregation."

"However, it has also been suggested that West Ham could have done more to plan segregated family and singing sections, rather than prioritising the sale of season tickets, with the mix of traditional supporters and thousands of new fans thought to have led to tension."

Meanwhile, I am preparing my savings for the announcement of the next addition to my Council Tax so that West Ham FC can have our under-manned Met Police Service attempt to stop their fans from fighting each other, at my expense.

If they like Upton park so much they should take them back there and let 'em kick seven colours out of each other where they can't bother anybody else!

    Bunch of ****s!..

West Ham's new home, London's £700m Olympic Stadium, cannot have an immediate police presence following recent trouble - because there is no satisfactoryradio system across the ground.

The Hammers asked E20, which owns the club's London Stadium home, to ensure there is a police presence in the ground after unsavoury incidents involving their fans in the past three matches.

But the Metropolitan Police say the stadium operators are responsible for dealing with "disorderly behaviour that has not reached the level of criminality".

"The MPS is not able to provide Special Policing Services at this time as it would normally, as there is no satisfactory radio system across the ground," said deputy assistant commissioner Peter Terry.

It's a complete bloody shambles as it always is when you split ownership and control of any business (this usually occurs in some Public/Private Partnership or 'Titanic **** Up' as they are commonly known). Usually, there are 2 routes to resolve the chaos:

    • The public body puts in vast amounts of cash to bail out the ****ed up enterprise;
    • Litigation is commenced between the public and private partners at massive public expense followed by the public body putting in vast amounts of cash to bail out the ****ed up enterprise.
It looks as though we'll be funding the amount to sort this ****ing mess out and probably the full cost of the load of no-marks they brought in this summer at enormous expense. Whilst we're at it, perhaps, we should pay the R&D on the new Ann Summers' range of anal toys? Face it, we're getting it in the rear no matter what!

Their job was easier during the Olympics as there were several thousand empty seats behind where the cameras were positioned - which were much easier to hide than the swathes of empty seats in all the other venues.

As expected, a TETRA network was deployed for the 2012 Olympics.
So the "no satisfactory radio system" claim by the Met means any of the following :

    1.The network no longer exists

    2. The network exists, but no longer has the performance expected by emergency
services (functionally degraded, radio coverage/quality has degraded due to changes in
the physical environment - new building structures added since 2012 etc) .

Either way, somebody at the LLDC should on paper be looking at being dropped on
    their own sword.

Should it be declared not fit for purpose and West Ham expelled from the league then?

Depends on what the TETRA network coverage/quality is inside PL stadia as a whole.
If the OS is far worse than the norm, then there is an issue on public emergency operation.

Palace have issued an update on Pape Souare and it seems like he's going to be ok.
He had surgery on his jaw and thigh and is expected to be released from hospital on Friday.
    Good news. <ok>
