I'm not sure Manure are capable of tempting Poch away in their current circumstances:

1. They're less likely to be in the Champions League next year
2. They have an inferior squad
3. London trumps Manchester every time, and his kids/wife might not appreciate being uprooted again so soon

Manure are a club in decline, soon to not even be the biggest club in Manchester; and Spurs, with our new stadium on the horizon, are a project which any manager would be a fool to leave.

I agree. But for me it's because he places so much importance on the team ethic. I believe that he would feel under pressure to produce immediately there. That's not his style, as we've seen at Spurs. He takes time to build a side that plays as he wants then to,

Then there's the internal, politics at Utd. Not to mention a few giant egos that he probably wouldn't have too much time for.

The BBC is carrying a headline (albeit very small) on its Football web site that reads "United open Pochettino talks." Their evidence for this? An article in today's Sun newspaper.
<doh>

I really do hope that Poch and the club both come out very early to scotch these rumours. It's bad enough that The Sun does United's tapping-up for them, but for the BBC to join in is simply scandalous!
The reports say that Man Utd have approached Poch's agent.

Funnily enough, just last month Poch stated he doesn't even have an agent...

This has the air of trying to destabilise us like the Redknapp for England rumours did back in 2012.
I can not honestly see united looking at Pochettino. .. next year is crucial to them...they can not afford a another bad season with Pep Guardiola (excuse spelling) rolling up at City.
They will go for a proven manager imho.
I don't expect MP to stay for that long as a massive club will come in for him at some point but he is very young for a manager and think he'd like to see what he could do with this team next year or he'll always wonder "what if".

The Sun didn't actually claim that the Mancs had approached his agent, though.
They claimed that they'd contacted his representatives. Could be his missus or his mate Cortese, even.
Pochettino was also talking about the situation when he joined the club. He could've hired one since.

The interview did seem to be a rather glowing endorsement of Levy, though:

Just going off to do some 'recuperating' with the ball....... Or is that a euphemism? <laugh>

these newspapers do tell 'em,don't they? I wonder if their reporters ever followed Elton John into the Watford showers for another scoop?

Every time I see Roger East referee, I find myself getting wound up. He is awful.

Couldn't believe he got moved out of the Football League rotation permanantly as he had a few shockers in his first few Premier League games. He suits Riley's style though, better to give nothing and claim you didn't see it than blow your whistle and risk being wrong.

Klopp learning, the hard way, that he's got his work cut out at Klanfield, and that he might not make it out under his own volition.

Good game but Benteke should have scored 3! As for lucas,if you live by the sword......

I still think West Ham should stay where they are at the Bowling Ball stadium. They may regret the move to Hackney from a fan point of view!

You know who Benteke would really suit? Leicester.
Quick breaks, counters and chances from set-pieces. He'd love it.

Yes, Benteke would like a chip-and-rush outfit, rather than a more traditional skilful football playing side.
