West Brom manager Tony Pulis phoned former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher last week and urged him to follow fellow pundit Gary Neville into management ...which has the additional benefit of sparing people with ears from his abysmal punditry.
Norwich 0-1 Everton. Norwich not it the game at all. How the Gooners didn't beat them I can't imagine
Announcers’ curse all star: close up of Bennett warming up. "They'll have to do a lot more than that to get back into it." One minute later, Bennett levels the score.
Everton not in the CL race on the basis of this. Some very good players but Cleverley, Kone, Barry not up to it and Berkely and Deulofeu too hit and miss to really compete.
I wonder if I just watched Jerome cost Norwich PL football next year.Missed a sitter that was easier to knock in then hit over the bar. Ten yards away, wide open goal, an easy pass and the keeper nowhere near. 78th minute, more or less. That miss lost them two points at a minimum, I think.
It's interesting that the BBC Football Live commentary page isn't focussing very much on the Bournemouth v United match. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that United are losing?
2-1 now and comical defending. Delighted that B'mouth look like they've got enough quality to stay up despite their extensive injuries, delighted that 'Project £250m' is a laughingstock. Disappointed that we don't face United until April.
Did I hear that right? Bournemouth have a player on the field they paid 6,000 for? The little garbanzo bean scores a hat trick.
Nice to see Adam Smith and Charlie Daniels play the full 90 minutes in Bournemouth's win over Utd. It's been a decent week for our academy players, really! Schneiderlin and Young must've been sitting on the bench wondering what the hell's happened to their careers. The way that van Gaal's going at the moment, they won't have to wait too long to have a chance to impress a new coach. Not the finest week in his career, by any means.
Great result for Bournemouth and for us!! What a wretched looking United team. Okay they've got injuries but that team is mid-table at best and Chelsea might get a draw against them.
So ... 1. We now have joint best GA. 2. Win tomorrow and we are 4th. 3. Win by 3 goals and our GD is better than Citeh. Nice tangible targets methinks.
Bournemouth brilliant stuff! I praised Murray last week but he's pissed me off with that miss, I had 3-1 at 33/1
They have a few players missing, but so do most teams. Loaning out Wilson looks like quite a mistake at the moment. He scored today as Brighton extended their unbeaten run in the league to 21 games, including all of this season's fixtures so far. I don't think that the team lacks quality, so much as belief or confidence in their philosophy. They don't look like a side that thinks they're going to beat everyone they play. The negativity of the system seems to have infected the dressing room.
