There are so many things going on in a game of rugby that it's difficult for a referee to see everything. Yes, some things are blatantly let go seemingly nowadays. The vast majority of scrums are 'fed', which is illegal. Also true that many line out throws are not straight. Some do get called, others not.

There has always been a disparity in interpretation between northern and Southern Hemisphere referees. It's nothing new.

Binding on the arm on the opposite side to the ref really winds me up. Literally 90% of the time its done, why the touch judge never calls it i have no idea.

True, it's always gone on. I remember talking to Jeff Probyn about David Sole cutting the sleeve off one arm of his jersey. He just laughed and said 'silly **** was trying to stop me pulling him down, I just grabbed his arm and pulled him down anyway'.

"One of the weird things about rugby refereeing is that there's different standards between the Northern and Southern hemisphere. For example, Australia's usual shenanigans at line-outs (either passing to the player right in front of them, or throwing in the ball at such an angle it is almost impossible for a non-Australian player to catch it) is usually quickly stamped out by a Northern hemisphere ref, but Southern hemisphere refs just let it go on."

The scrum used to be the area where S hemisphere refs were like little girls.

At least the refs have been consistently pinging slowing down at the breakdown.
And notable that the S hemisphere sides have overall been much faster in clearing
out opponent players (England in particular were slooooow against Wales and Aus) .

Reading reports on Liverpools recent game in London under Klopp, who were they playing? It would appear there was only one team as far as the media was concerned.

The media is so fickle.

Arsenal need to beat Bayern Munich in their CL game tonight to retain any chance of progressing beyond the group stages. Bayern have won all 11 league and CL games so far this season and striker Lewandowski has 15 goals in his last 7 games for club and country. Good luck with that then :emoticon-0108-speec

I got told yesterday by a mouser that they are trying to get to where they belong and the rest of us are just deluded and pretenders.

If Klopp fails, then them ****s may as well pack up and take up another sport.
