That's because it's a victory for football, Moorpheus. Chelsea have disgraced themselves in this tie. First their fans, then their woeful football, then their antics with diving surrounding the ref and constant fouling but finally Diego Costa was the biggest disgrace, he was an absolute twat, I wouldn't want him anywhere near our club. It's about time the media started facing up to the truth about Chelsea because they're glossing over the antics time and time again, even with all their quality attacking players they're not a football side, their a team that excels in cheating and negativity. Well done to Luiz, he was excellent tonight and showed all the critics what he can do when he's in a modern attacking side rather than with the throwbacks at Chelsea.
I'd forgotten he said he was going. Not a great week for assholes is it. Terry, Costa, Mourinho and Clarkson all getting their hearts broken
How can you defend a 1-1 away draw at home to a team who were down to 10 men for two thirds of the game? Such negative tactics were inviting trouble, especially when your defending at set pieces is so poor. The game was made for Hazard to run them ragged and the extra man would have told as PSG tired. Instead they stroll about and PSG were still full of running in extra time and able to fight back. Poor.
The worst thing is that they don't need to play like this. They have a great set of players so why lower themselves?
Because Mourinho's a horrible, nasty, cynical arsehole. Didn't pick up a single molecule of class from Bobby Robson, unfortunately.
I almost cheered as much as when Spurs score when Silva headed that in! Can't wait for tomorrow at work and rubbing it into all my smug Chelsea supporting colleagues faces.
As bad as they'd been, if they'd gone on to win 1-0 the media would've glossed over it and said that this is why Mourinho and Chelsea win things. The important bit is not that they were negative and lucky when it was 0-0 but that when they had the lead, that was their chance to defend and see the game out. Regardless of what went on before they had those 2 chances to see the game out and they fell well short of doing that. They complained about the ref when Barca knocked them out but tonight's ref was even worse and the vast majority of big decisions went Chelsea's way.
I don't get how they have gone from being so good to watch before xmas to being so negative now. That was awful to watch
Chelsea 's luck in Europe, finally runs out.Glad to see the cheating play actors go out,Maureen so special, his team can't even beat ten men,and Oscar should be ashamed, getting a fellow pro sent off
Absolutely fantastic result last night, a true win for football. I hate Chelsea's sit back approach, it may win a lot of games but it's incredibly boring to watch and not worth paying a good amount of money for. It was sheer poetry that PSG were down to 10 men for a rough total of 90 minutes (included ET) after every outfield player moaning to the ref about Zlatan and then with Luiz netting the equaliser plus Silva getting the all important goal after having conceded a penalty, it was just a truly beautiful moment. Plus, as the hashtag says, #JusticeForZlatan
Rabiot getting clattered three times in three minutes at the end of extra time almost looked like he was being prepared for a move to a Premier League club in the summer - but only if his mum lets him play...
Chelsea commited more fouls than they had clean tackles. 24 fouls and only 3 bookings, that's an embarrassing performance for the ref before you even take into account the other stuff that went on under his watch.
I think there is a lot of one eyed stuff on here. PSG were similar to Chelsea they both deserve little credit for a game played in the wrong way. Luiz was as bad as any in his efforts to cheat, foul, and get the other side into the book.Verratti was a nasty piece of work throughout his time on the pitch. Both of these teams have little to offer the game of football.
I think you've gone a bit far here (agreed with the rest though). The ref against Barca was off the scale bad. If it had been against Spurs, I'd have exploded.Literally.
Costa could've easily had 4 seperate bookings last night and Chelsea were allowed to foul with near impunity. Hazard wasn't booked for a clear dive and Ibrahimovich's sending off was a joke. The ref's decisions massively favoured Chelsea.
Anyway, anyone seen Mourinho and Terry's latest gems? If they even believe half of the nonsense that comes out of their mouths then they're seriously deluded.
