City have been really poor in the final third...the goons have played really well but city are piss poor without yaya toure...they are slow and ponderous
With all the clubs competing for the 3rd / 4th spot, the "contribution" of poor refereeing decisions may well prove decisive on who gets these CL places.
Yes, I did see this happening SD as I posted it earlier. I hate to say boys but I think that 3-0 home win against Stoke is the turning point of their season. Stoke is a team which often present problems for Arsenal and to thrash them tells a story. CL isn't ours this season unless we improve drstically.
Southampton 3rd 42pt United 4th 40pt Arsenal 5th 39 pt Spurs 6th 37pt West ham 7th 36 pt Lpool 8th 35 pt Just 7 pts seperate the 6 teams...we have to play soton, united and pool away and the goons west ham and man city at home Think that we are outsiders for the top 4 but you never know
Disagree re stoke...they are always really bad away to arsenal Agree re top 4 though... soton, united and arsenal are the favourites for the 3rd and 4th place
Very congested in the top 8 at the moment. With the imminent fixtures, the biggest questions at the moment will be asked of Spurs and the Poool.
See you at St Mary's on 25th April. Let's hope we're both still in contention for top 4 by then - should make for some occasion for Pochettino's return to the South Coast.
I didn't think Arsenal had it in them either. They usually defend by keeping possession. Wenger never seems to bother having a plan for the opposition. He prefers to stick to his dogmatic belief that if Arsenal play their own game well, they'll win. Perhaps the penny has dropped that when you play decent teams, especially on their home ground, you need to battle, get men behind the ball, don't leave defenders isolated and not wait for the ball to be given back to you. 35% and a 2-0 win - that's usually what Utd do to them!
Their crucial contribution may already have occurred. Liverpool and Arsenal were gifted points multiple times when they were really struggling. Without those extra points, there was a real risk of the negatives starting to snowball. In the same period, the officials took away points from us twice, even if they did give them to us once.
Well we are going to have to beat these teams to get to top 4 and as things are we won't. Now if anybody on this site is in contact with the club then urge Poch to buy a striker this window as a matter of importance.
An Arsenal win always makes me throw up!Probably won the title for Chelsea now........I guess another City manager on the cards?
Whilst I wholeheartedly agree that we need another reliable striker, it's unlilely to happen until summer. Nobody wants to sell in mid season, unless it's at a ridiculous price, and Levy go for that.
