I thought you were worried about Utd leaving it late to replace Cleverly.....obvious mistake really as he hardly needs replacing.
You're right. Van Gaal will just pick another extremely ordinary centre-half and forget the midfield entirely. I think that he needs replacing in the same way that a broken window would, to be honest. Might be a bit of a harsh comparison. For the window.
Torres to Milan,on a two year loan, and they have opened talks with Remy,to replace him,why have we not talked to him, when it's plain to every supporter we need another striker to compete,in all the competitions we're in,another one we let slip through our fingers
Van Gaal has showed that he's got the petulance and arrogance to be the Man Utd manager. After leaving out Luke Shaw because he's not fit enough, he's decided to criticise Roy Hodgson... for leaving out Luke Shaw because he's not fit enough. Daley Blind is set to join the Old Trafford side, as Ajax have agreed a deal with the club. A fee of around £14m is being suggested by the media, which would take their summer spending up to about £140m net.
Anyone else think his team today is arrogant. Mata, Dimaria and Fletcher in midfield and Valencia and Young as wing backs. Doesn't suggest they think Burnley will be very competitive.
United... LOL! If they keep playing like they are against Burnley, theyt are going to be fighting relegation this season.
I am sooooo ****ing glad that we didn't get Van Gaal. If he can make Moye's United look worse than they are, what the hell would he have done with Sherwood's Spurs!
Utd's defence is utter ****e! Burnley arguably deserve to be in front. A top side would be a couple of goals up by now.
Ashley Young fouled in the box, but nothing given! That's what you get for being a serial diver, mate.
It was a pen, but he did still vastly exagerate the fall. He is now marked like Bale (who didn't deserve it) and won't get a thing.
The crying on BT Sport (or MUTV2, as it should be called) has been absolutely hilarious! They're all so desperate for van Gaal's side to win, even going so far as to have two dodgy cheerleaders claiming everything in their favour. Liverpool fans must despise Michael Owen even more with every passing week. The thing that really annoyed me though was their summary of the table at the end of the game. "City and Chelsea lead the league with 6 points"? Really? I'm sure that they don't, actually. Fully expect the proper Mancs to go top and stay there this weekend though, of course.
Utd's players are low on confidence after last season and because they are unfamiliar with the system LVG wants to play. But he is determined to play it and for it to come good. That seems to mean bringing in players he thinks will fit into it. As a fan though, I'm not excited by Blind or Rojo and di Maria is £30M overpriced. If you pay £60M, you want a player who wins games singlehandedly. There is enough quality for Utd to win plenty of games, but improving on 7th looks a tall order.
Why isn't he using a system that suits his players though, Lidls? Utd look almost uniquely unsuited to playing 3-5-2 and it was possibly worse before any signings. The wingers at the club don't work well in it (Young, Valencia, Januzaj), it doesn't suit most of your midfielders and your strikers aren't getting any service. You've lost a bunch of decent players, spent a ton of money and still have about half a squad left to shift, but you appear to be selling players that are better than some you're keeping. Anderson's **** and fat, yet he's first to come on from the bench, Fletcher's a shadow of his former self, due to his unfortunate illness, yet Welbeck, Kagawa and Hernandez are going. It's bizarre and things seem to be getting more complicated and less organised by the day.
