As much as I don't like agreeing with commentators, and particularly rat-face, I have to say the Ox was the difference. Phenomenal in the first half and Milan could not deal with him, not the same player in the second. If he develops as everyone expects then he is going to be a true world class player.
****ing Aquilani swanning around the Emirates at the end of the game while hes still our player(on paper anyway),We paid £17m for the twat and should accept nothing less and demand even more if Milan go much further in the CL. Because you can bet Milan will want him on loan for another season or for next to nothing, the player has done nothing but **** us around since we signed him and he does'nt want to play for anymore.
If he plays 4 more games he become their player 100%. We would get next to nothing for him too. We need to recall him and then sell him immediately - although I actually quite like him as a player. Face just doesn't fit.
Tbh i was made up when he came back from Juve and pledged his future to us,but hes a liar and we should spoil his little party and call him back as soon as,that'll take the smug look of his grid.
Aren't we paying part of his wages? And didn't we pay nearly all his wages last season whilst he was at Juventus? If so, it would make financial sense to let him go for as little as 5m euros seen-as-though it would save us paying over £3m a season in wages to a player that (a) does not want to be at Liverpool and (b) we never get the benefit of his skills. Yes, it is annoying that we stand to lose a lot of money on this deal, especially considering the wages we have already paid to him too, but there is no point in looking back and trying to recoup when it is going to end up costing us more. We are not going to play him and he doesn't want to play so it is time to cut our losses and let him go.
Not sure how the wage issue works when a player is loaned out,if your correct does that mean that Cole and Jonjo(if/when hes out on loan)are also still getting paid by us? Im sure financially educated owners like Fenway would be right onto it and sell rather than loan.
It depends on the individual deals. I know we were paying most of Konchesky's wages last year whilst he was at Nottm Forest. I'm pretty sure we are paying a part of Joe Cole's wages. No idea on Jonjo's but since he won't be on a lot and he is being loaned out to gain game experience which we hope to get the benefit from in future years, I don't suppose we'd mind paying all his wages really.
lol as I said, it depends on the individual deals. Only we were stupid enough to send players out on loan without getting a fee for them or their wages paid!
Stadtler and Waldorf are back in court this week still chasing money from RBS. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...tom-hicks-and-george-gillett-100252-30474243/
Yes,because until they get a judge to deem they did nothing illegal during the sale of LFC they are still vulnerable and liable in the eyes of H&G's lawyers.
