You need to work out if you're including all goals or just league goals as you're not very consistent when it comes to that (all goals lukaku, league goals Firmino).
So you're happy with 11th as a team as long as lukaku scored a few?
Id rather my players contributed to the team improving (or at least matching the previous years levels) and scored less than scored a few and the rest of the team did ****.

Im happy to include all goals, but if you're doing that for lukaku you need to do it for Firmino... In the other thread you decided to just use league goals and not cups so you can't pick and chose to which comps to include for one and not the other.
And I said it hasn't worked out as in loaning a player the signing him next year because your team performance went down. Yes on an individual level maybe he did well, but your team did pants so the general idea didn't work out too well. Signing a player on loan means the next year, you have to sign them just to stay where you are.
Your initial point was that he played for you on loan during year you came 5th... Astro and I just pointed out that so did lukaku, and then the following year you signed him perm (like you're doing with this kid) and you came 11th so that didn't work out how you'd have hoped (as a team)

For the record I posted Firmino's stats off Whoscoredwho and it said he'd notched 39 in 143, but apparently this excludes domestic German cups
When you judge a signing you do so on their individual performance, bringing the overall league placing into it was just diversionary bullshit mate, sorry.
Nothing, but you don't seem very consistent in the way you display stats when happy to say 20 for lukaku and include all his goals to make him look better and not as many for Firmino to try make him not look as good.
Well id rather judge my signings on how they impact the team. Rather a player scored less and helped team in other ways to finish higher than be selfish score more and the team still finish lower (this is ignoring the fact that lukaku actually scored less league goals and was partly the reason you did finish lower)
