Currency fluctuations impact all international businesses. For example, you paid an eye watering £16million for the Single League Goal Striker. At the time that was about €20million. Had Brenda had his mad moment this summer instead of last summer that €20million would equate to £15million ie a £1million saving on the inevitable loss when you offload the useless twonk. Liverpool's main issue with the SLGS is that not only has his resale value dipped dramatically but they will also have to sell him to a European club as no club in England will touch him. So if they manage to convince an Italian club to pay €5million for him that will equate to £3.75million. Had the currencies remained static they would have seen a return of just over £4million.
The good news is that when you next have to go overseas after Liverpool lose a game your GBP will go further.
