Problem is we won't sign players who are already at their 'peak'. We try to sign players who have the ability to increase their value and don't want top bracket wages.

That leaves us with the Coutinho's, Sturridge's, Lovren's & Balotelli's of the world. Its players who are damaged goods in some way and haven't quite hit the potential or level expected of them. Its quite risky and doesn't always work, as proved by us and our signings.

WT actual F!??

I listed Sturridge as well. My point was that Coutinho hadn't hit the potential that he was supposed to at Inter, and they were quite happy to not play him and let him go. Which meant we got him for a bargain price and the gamble paid off. With Balotelli, it didn't.

I tried to use examples of our transfer system working and examples of it not, to give some balance to the argument. Its unfair listing all the negatives of the transfer policy without discussing the upside.

Van Gaal's wine notes

The other page in his Crystal Palace documents just said "bench my flops, play Moyes' boys"

You could do a graph on why Liverpool should be 4th and UTD 7th, maybe use bright colours for pool and dull brown for UTD. <ok>

You could come up with a joke that is less boring.

Actually, you probably can't.

So here's a star for effort <ok>

There is a sadness here too, a sense of talent hoarded at the top, promising players stockpiled

this should be stopped. there should be a limit of players loaned out. teams buy good, upcoming players then loan them out to teams who pay the wages and a loan fee thus paying for the player. then if the player is any good they are recalled or sold on for a nice profit with out the player ever playing for the parent club. there is an Italian club who have over 50 players out on loan! it should be stopped

Think that gives Aguero 24 league goals for the season,he won't be caught now.
