The premise of vikings is a real historic character set. the premise of the flash is an alternative world in effect where these powers are normal.

If the premise in vikings is real action, real battle, blood and guts and then the guy can heal up form all sorts then its unrealistic as nobody esle can.

Meh, I just like the different period, and the actors are good, that for me is one of the main issues, all those US shows with unknown US actors are usually piss poor in terms of acting ability. The best US shows are invariably the ones with British actors in the major roles. Like The Wire, GOT, and Rome.

i think got is poor in places but the cast is large
 
Been watching Daredevil and have gotten really into that. Was thinking of giving Flash a go. Is it similar to daredevil? Not really been into the whole Marvel thing in all of its film formats since watching the first X Men. Prefer the cartoons myself (spiderman, xmen etc)

Yea GoT was great in the first 2 maybe 3 seasons. Its gone massively downhill for me recently and actually from being one of my favourite programmes is now becoming a big fat joke to me.

Lol don't get me started on that pisspoor film. I wasn't going to watch daredevil the series but my flatmate put it on and he said he heard good things. I half watched it and got into it
 
The best thing about the new Daredevil show is the intro credits, the show is forgettable and skin deep. I was expecting a mature show with some grit but quite frankly a 12 year old would have no trouble understanding the shallow plot - meh. I'm 2 episodes in - worth me continuing?

I've seen the first three episodes of daredevil and decided to hang fire until Gotham, Arrow and The Flash have finished instead. I think Daredevil has taken a more serious closer to reality (as much as you can with these things) approach.

The modern Marvel stuff is much better than the Xmen stuff. even the follow up xmen stuff was better than the first one <laugh>

PS...the Daredevil film was **** :)

it was that bad it ended afflecks career no? it also ended superhero movies for a time IMO.

But then clooney as batman ended batman and all no?

these things seem to come back round in cycles but once you start scraping the barrel for the z list hero's you really should just stop.

Not sure i understand your question? I just said Daredevil the film was bad. You can make bad films and still have a career (see numerous **** films by will ferrell, johnny depp, Morgan Freeman)

What do you mean by scraping the barrel for z list hero? You mean Daredevil is Z list? Yea i agree he ain't big just happened to be something i watched rather than me hunting down daredevil because i was an avid daredevil fan!

Yeah someone I know watches both and she was saying how a few characters cross over and small references but can get by watching flash without watching arrow. Good that they don't link it so much mich that you need to watch both for one to make aense

from my point of view the cross over was tiny and didn't give anything really needing to watch both.

was it the final nail in the coffin for afflecks first carrer though? I just try to remember but he was **** anyway.

ON super heros.. a list heros are superman batman and spider man. z listers are like the scrapings of the barrell that go on celeb big brother. I think personally at this point the super hero genre has reached that point.

Who is left without a movie at this point?

Agree, it's why I loved BSG series so much in season 1 2 3. It's why I liked the walking dead 3 seasons.

Sadly they make those good series go on too long and end up ruining them.

which is why wire was regarded so highly.

I did find a couple wire series a bit well... nuts =oid like the school one but hey.. it all ended up working. it ended when it should
