N'Zogbia just needed to play it into Benteke earlier and it's a 1v1 to make it 3-2 to Villa.. instead he waits and plays it so Benteke is so close to being offside that 1 split screen later he is off and City then go up the other end at make it 3-2 City instead.

Small margins but all about decision making.

Newcastle situation is just sad. They have a clown of a manager and players which are just ****. I think the players don't care because the way they play is just lazy.

The manager is a clown but even then a player has the intelligence to do something.

At the risk of sounding xenophobic, I think that's the risk when you sign too many foreigners.

I disagree. Any person has played football before and can play at a decent level know when to start putting in performances. These players are just lazy because they have fans which understandably aren't happy and have nothing to play for. Say a lot about the players to show how easily they've given up.

I think Newcastle had three english players in the team.

Not just today, I'm talking about in general. It's hard for fans to connect with a team that can't even speak English. And the problem with Newcastle's dressing room having half the players insisting on speaking French instead of English has been well documented.

Chelsea usually field just two English players, it doesn`t seem to hurt them.

If you look at their results in Europe compared to their resources then, yes, it is a problem.

Obviously its not going to be a problem for Chelsea in the league because everyone else has the same issue, so it evens itself out on that score. Against teams like Atletico, Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern & Juventus it becomes a problem though because they all have a core of players from their own country, which helps their fans relate to their team & gives them that extra 1% which can often mean the difference between winning and losing. I'm sure you've played football before and know the importance of communication, if you're all fluent in a certain language then it makes things much easier.

I agree with most of what you say there Lucaaas, but we are talking about Newcastle in the league. I think there problems are deep seated within the club as a whole, Sunderland have battered them in the last few derbys, not because they are a better team but because there desire and effort was much better.
I don`t think the language thing is as much a barrier as you think, good players communicate with signals most of the time, it can be important in defence but you don`t needs to be fluent to learn basics like move out, leave, clear etc.

You are sounding xenophobic!

Why is it when things go wrong the first thing some people pick as the cause is...the foreigners...And who else has said this in a different context? :bandit:

I think it is the manager. Look at the other teams in mid table. They have loads of foreigners but their managers are more experienced and would not accept any slacking from their players.

The reality is not about foreign players but who is giving a rats ass about their club

Newcastle are just pathetic right now and it's a shame for their fans

Burnley would run through walls on the other hand but have not the talent

The thing is the bottom 6/7 are so bad the survivors are dead ducks next year too

I've played for a team which was half South American and none of them spoke more than the odd word of English but on the pitch it wasn't a problem, you figure each other out.

The only issue not speaking whatever is cliques

It's like this board some talk Scouse, some oirish and some manc no wonder nobody gets along

Look you never get 11 guys who get on perfect do you but it's about desire to play for club, fans, manager, each other

If a guy in 2 years and that's whatnot is at newkie can't speak a word of Geordie what does it say... I ain't bothered. It says it to the kids outside training looking for autographs, says it to his team mates etc etc

Newcastle need players going the extra mile, they don't really have them. The need just 3 points and I can see only one game they will get them in
