Fergie appointed his assistant as his successor? Not sure you're right on that one fat lad.Van Gaal appoints Giggs as successor
Taking a leaf out of Fergie's book![]()

Fair enough. He appointed someone **** to look better in comparison and distract from his neglect of squad development![]()
Fair enough.
Fergie was always hopeless at squad development.
However, I still don't see how LVG tipping Giggs, his assistant, as his potential replacement is similar to Fergie selecting Moyes as his replacement. If anything it's more Liverpoolesque, bootroom and all that. Grateful if you could clarify. Cheers.

Stop worrying boys, van Gaal has at least two years left yet so you don`t have to fear the welsh wizards talent for a while![]()

Can't wait to get shut of van gaal then?![]()

There's no doubt that the squad could have been stronger when Fergie retired. He'd recently made some bad signings and a few key players were past it. Fergie probably under rated himself and thought that if he could walk the league with that squad then lesser managers should be able to cope. Sadly not in Moyes's case.Remember the media frenzy after Giggs won his first game as Manager last season they were all [HASHTAG]#itwasmoyesfaultafterall[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#Fergiesback[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#trueunited[/HASHTAG]
then reality set in
They still won't accept Moyes paid the price for Fergie letting the squad erode to ****.

Interestingly, when United thrashed Liverpool 3-0 at OT this season, the starting XI was made up of Fergie's players plus Moyes's two signings. With the same players we lost 3-0 the previous season. [HASHTAG]#tacticalgenius[/HASHTAG]?

Partially fair comment Sisu. Rodgers' tactical ineptitude would have been a contributing factor. "Give it Raheem" didn't work as well as "give it Luis"!So you are saying our own form has nothing to do with those results? You are saying the Liverpool Moyes faced was the same Liverpool van Gaal faced? O RLY?
You make terrible false arguments sometimes Shteve![]()

I put a question mark after [HASHTAG]#tacticalgenius[/HASHTAG] as that's yet to be confirmed. No need for a question mark when dubbing Rodgers tactically inept. Poor guy got schooled by tactical novice Tim Sherwood (and then chucked his players under the bus)!Urhh, you remind of of that "other" one so much
Gets proven wrong, starts changing tack.
The point remains Shteve, your argument was fundamentally flawed. Just say ""
Otherwise it just descends into a handbag poor wumfest.
