He was Rodgers first signing.

They need to sell him in summer (not like they have any other choice with his new agent anyway) because no EL next season is going to kill his value dead.

I'm dead serious when I say that. We'd have 22m and saved wages from last season to spend this season if we bought no replacement strikers, I doubt we'd be much worse off points wise
You need to throw in your others. Lovren, Lallana, Allen, Borini, Markovic and you'd have 100m to spend on some nice shiny better players
We had no choice to spend on defence just that lovren was a bad choice before he even kicked a ball this season, only after seeing the disaster did I look at his career, not a great one at all.
Allen is a decent player and wasn't signed in the summer, as is Lallana. Both have time on their sides and Allen has most certainly improved. Lallana will also. Way to early to write him off. Borini was an error prior to this season.
Balo Markovic and Lovren were\are disasters. nealy 60m on those. Plus wages it's been costly mistakes.
I'd take Carroll over Balo and Markovic any day
