I completely agree with the sentiment that not playing it tight cost us the title last year, we should have played not to lose as Chelsea came for a point to Anfield last season. It was a mistake by Rodgers though he can be forgiven as we were ripping teams apart.
As for Mourinho, Tobes last season it cost him points and a league challenge in the end, he turned up at OT with no striker to take on Moyes misfits for example when you'd expect a team of Chelsea's quality to go for 3 points given United's circumstances.
This season Chelsea have added quality that meant they could avoid doing that like they did at various away games in the league but, it cost him CL progression instead.
For 90% of the games Chelsea play they have far more quality than the opposition so there is no need to play it tight, so pointing to all those games irrelevant as Chelsea are the superior team, all too often by a large margin, but when it matters, like against PSG, his style cost him bigtime.
