Yeh but I think once you start watching them in Europe you can start to pick them out. The Fernandango twins? Nasri? decent backup CBs? Dzeko? Build a British spine of sorts? The last one to sort out the mentality problem aswell.

I think Fernandinho & Fernando are good players. But I think when they play in a 2 alongside Toure they get no support from him and when they play together they are a bit too similar maybe? Yeah, Nasri doesn't have enough end product & Dzeko is really inconsistent but not too bad an option as a squad player.

City at their peak were highly reliant on the spine of their side. Kompany, Toure and Aguero. All 3 have been out of sorts by their own high standards this season with Toure looking like he's rapidly on the downslope.

As Mito says they're all of a certain level. They are top 4 players either first team or squad player standard. When playing as a unit capable of blowing away 90% of the league. But when they stutter they lack leaders or any clear direction as players.

Btw Silva is absolute quality. Make no mistakes about it. He is a victim of the mess around him, not a part of it. Put him in Chelsea next to Hazard and in frint of Fabregas and they make the CL final at least.

Guess Utd deserved the win today, clearly wanted it more. But beating City in their current state is nothing to be shouting about. And you conceded one more than us when we spanked em

When i said on here that City were spent you all got up in arms at me for belittling Liverpools win, i meant it then and it still holds true.

That's true and I'm under no illusion that our recent win over them was also partly down to their capitulation. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes for them. Obviously hope they finish fifth and we overtake for fourth :emoticon-0110-tongu

Manchester United press conference recap: Louis van Gaal says they can still win the Premier League

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-united-press-conference-recap-5451999

"Still we can win the title, mathematically we can do that."

If he says it it must be true then?

Little to late. If Chelsea had failed to win today and we then went on to beat them next week, it would at least be worth considering....

The gaps 11 points effectively, even with a win next week its 8 with so few games left. They need 3 wins and have 8 games left.

I had United to beat City today. people need to check out the form. United very strong at home. City pathetic away. Lost three of their last games away. es, it was expected that they may raise themselves for the fierce derby. And when they scored first I thought that's it they are going to win. But they were extremely fragile. And they were opened up like a sardine can. Toure, Fernandhino, Navas were no match for the United midfiled and were by passed with ease.

City will lose more points and United too. If we win our games and united lose their tough games we should still have a slim chance to get top 4.

Only Chelsea will sit back and defend against us. Others will have to attack and that suits us just fine.

We could quite easily take 15 from the last 18.

The gap is 8 points and they have 7 games left one of which is against us <ok>

Game in hand v Leicester. While its never certain, you have to give Chelsea the points.

When I look at it though, win next week and we are 5 behind (game more). Arsenal could feasibly beat them the following week and we could end up 2 points behind before their game v Leicester.

Any other side in the league and I would be confident of us doing it. Not Chelsea.

Never had any thought of us doing it, just pointing out LvG is right about the maths. This kind of stupid question is always asked by reporters, what`s he supposed to say "no we have no chance" (giving up),
