Pulis got Palace last year and West Brom this year playing and winning within weeks of him taking over, Pardue the same with Palace this year and Sherwood with Villa. so why can't Van Gaal do it over 6 months?

Those managers are typical english managers taking over typical average english clubs who have played that style since ever.

The dutch players are taught to play that way from an early age. They are famous for there technical ability and passing.

Uniteds players have played a certain way for decades. A very unique counter attacking style.

van Gaal isnt just changing a style. He is teaching the players something brand new. That is why its taking a little longer.

Thats why I have faith in lvg but didint with Moyes. He just tried to carry it on when it was never going to work. van Gaal is bringing something new and different. You can see the difference already. Its not the finished article at all but the difference is obvious (awaits **** wum). The players are far more comfortable in possession and can now control the game.

He knows what he needs to do to make it click. The summer will be interesting to say the least.

we certainly can <ok><laugh><laugh>

Bollocks. His job is to loo at an opponent and work a way of defeating them with the right tactics and players. That's the ****ing job. Unless I am wrong players are taught tactics, it's part of their job, and after 6 months you are telling me they cannot follow tactics and ideas laid down to them.

"The dutch players are taught to play that way from an early age" Tactics can be learned in no time, technique on hte other hand, that's a different story

The basics can be learnt quickly enough true. The dutch play a very different game to to what we see in England. Far less physical and far more technical. Tactics play a much bigger part too.

van Gaal has already spoke about a number of tactical plays this season that have won us games.

Ridiculous to suggest that this played any part of United's long period of sustained success. Ferguson was a bully among many other unsaoury traits but his man management , eye for a player and tactical approach was matched by no other English based manager in his long time in charge of United. To suggest that officials brought about this success is just bitter and although he is a bellend he achieved what he did because of his own abilities

I think its a very fair argument to sa..................

wait a minute I just remembered I don't give a **** about anything you say <laugh>!!!!!!!!!!

So LVG isn't a flexible manager then? The Dutch way or nothing?

PS...can't recall too many Dutch teams playing the long ball mind <whistle>

like hoofing it up to Fellaini?

Who's the only manager of Holland since 1986 not to have qualified for a major tournament?

Maybe the players weren't Dutch enough for him?

So, if us and the mancs win their games this weekend, there will be just four points between second and fifth 'tightasfuck
