Its not the same. Which is a good thing strangely enough.

Fergie was the only person who could play his style. van Gaal is implimenting a new style. One that I hope he impliments through all the levels. In the longterm it will serve us well.

It is afterall, only the first season. <ok>

That's a completely different subject, fact is since Fergie retired utd despite having 2 and a half managers and spending £200m haven't won anything and don't look like winning anything regardless of their **** style of play.

Just admit the glory years are gone and watch your CD's of the glory years for comfort.<ok>

Yeh its tough. Have you got any tips on how to cope?

You call that a style.

I have a question, how can a bunch of dutch internationals get his style when only being with him every odd week and your lot can't get his style with over half a season of week in week out games and daily training? Huh?

Answers on a postcard.

Pulis got Palace last year and West Brom this year playing and winning within weeks of him taking over, Pardue the same with Palace this year and Sherwood with Villa. so why can't Van Gaal do it over 6 months?

He didn't have numpties like Phil Jones, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling in the Dutch squad. Plus you know you're in trouble when Michael Carrick AKA England's 12th choice central mdifielder is supposedly your best midfielder.

Your problems were bought upon yourselves. A lot of people were saying your key players were getting old and past it while the rest of your squad wasn't up to scratch but we were called bitter because you managed to scrape a few title wins due to Ferguson's sheer determination and mentality over the team and his intimidation of opposition and officials.

Ridiculous to suggest that this played any part of United's long period of sustained success. Ferguson was a bully among many other unsaoury traits but his man management , eye for a player and tactical approach was matched by no other English based manager in his long time in charge of United. To suggest that officials brought about this success is just bitter and although he is a bellend he achieved what he did because of his own abilities

The dutch players are taught to play that way from an early age. They are famous for there technical ability and passing.

Uniteds players have played a certain way for decades. A very unique counter attacking style.

van Gaal isnt just changing a style. He is teaching the players something brand new. That is why its taking a little longer.

Thats why I have faith in lvg but didint with Moyes. He just tried to carry it on when it was never going to work. van Gaal is bringing something new and different. You can see the difference already. Its not the finished article at all but the difference is obvious (awaits **** wum). The players are far more comfortable in possession and can now control the game.

He knows what he needs to do to make it click. The summer will be interesting to say the least.
