Ignoring the chavs and the defending your way through a competition, it is shocking how far behind the English elite are.
Watched him this season and not sure about that. Even tonight he's scored two good goals but his general play has not been great. There's been at least three occasions where barca's attack has broken down by him. One was the one where he checked back in, in the box and fluffed the ball to neymar.
English clubs have been behind since 2009 or so.... We relied on a bit of a power game but Barca blew that away and bayern showed how it should be done

It's often the straightforward stuff he fluffs. To be 3rd best means you have to be clear of the rest and he isnt. He's certainly one of the best after them two though.
