4 points equals long way off.

Gotcha

course they are... southampton won't be hammer by you until 8th december thats when you will triumphantly stride into 4th..............

you could hammer arsenal but c'mon... an away game.... you may as well put your house on the lottery with 5 numbers than that... <whistle>

but never mind.. you nearly won the lottery too this weekend right. almost bought a ticket... almost picked 6 numbers and each number was almost the one picked...

4th is a long way off...

arsenal
west ham
swansea
Liverpool
tottenham
everton

all have to at worst draw (lost 3) and top 3 must lose for you to go clear in 4th... so you are two positive results away from 4th if everyone else loses

controversially... you are actually one whole point further away this week that you were last week.... 3 v 4... think about that one... you are getting further away (while you are boasting) than you were.

Once all 6 sides lose you still need two games to get there so yeah... a long way off.

I cansee swansea drawing with arseal at the liberty stadium so thats two down.. I can see villa drawing with west ham seeing they are playing away form villa park but its a long shot... and I can certianly see lfc beaten well but everton play sunderland who are woeful right now and tottenham host stoke... so all in all... you'd better beat palace... a draws no good to you... <whistle>

Utds saving grace is when lfc lose 6-0 the vastly superior utd GD they've managed to make for them selves (+2 in ten games) will take them top of lfc with a 0-0 draw... that takes the pressure off PHEW eh?

Man Utd and the BBC only consider what could have been if those things would have been good for Man Utd <ok>

City denied stonewall penalties then Man Utd having a **** half chance = zomg Utd should have wunz!!!!11

We challenged for the title. Man Utd (and Everton) were also rans <ok>

6 points off an amazing season >> 4 points of the worst season in recent history <ok>

Hang on, but you said this morning that you didn't start playing until mid December last season.

So you're 6 points behind average, by your own logic

The discussion is about Man Utd, we know we're **** :)

Joking aside, United are improving. I thought they were a bloody mess at the start of the season, but in the last couple of games they've started to look more like it. They're still missing a quality CB and that will continue to cost them until they resolve that incredibly obvious weakness, but overall they're not bad now and whilst UIR's prediction of 20 wins is a comment worthy of astro, they'll certainly improve as the season wears on imo.

I've already said I didn't watch them so can't comment on the performance. However, playing better against the good sides is common. Its a backs against the walls type approach that suits LVG. Of course, they still had to play well to pull it off (whatever it was). Liverpool did it for years.

We then won 11 on the bounce <ok>

UiR is expecting to win 20 on the bounce <laugh> <cheers>

The clues were there for all to see. When Brendan unveiled him he (Brendan) said 'We needed a leader in our defence'. Something like that.

Then Lovren did his Liverpool interview and stated 'I am having to learn to be a leader now. Its something I'm not used to but have to learn. (or something like that.)

Lovren is a good defender but he is not that defensive leader that Brendan proclaimed he had bought him for.
Forget it Imps, I tried to tell them this weeks ago (there's a whole thread on it) - they won't have it:

Did you even read my post or just generate a generic disagreement post <laugh>

Yes, when trying to score because it was 0-0 they were higher. Shocker. <doh>

At that time they were so high they only had the GK and 2 CBs in their own half. Why the **** would they ever be that high when already winning?

I was worried for City because the referee had PROVEN he was trying to keep them in the game with absolutely ridiculous penalty decisions and, like Chelsea, the chance of a late ref-assisted equaliser looked on.

How was it ref assisted?

The FA has confirmed no action will be taken against Fellaini for spitting at Aguero

I totally agree... I'd add bad midifeld to that too but in general they look to have found a means to play and a way to get the ball to dimaira and when you've a top stopper and a fast man with quality like dimaria plus other options you'll do fine in this league.

Utd have a problem, they are terrible on the road.. utd have more change of winning the CL this year than getting 20 wins from here. I feel they'll get 12-14 wins at home... which is tops but will fail on the road.... 3 wins? probably... i've seen planty of decent outfits do the same.
