Both of you have had a less than optimal start to the season but neither are out of the running for top four yet.

Given utd's easy run of fixtures and there poor points return, plus the league cup humiliation to mk dons, conceding 5 to a newly promoted team and Liverpool having there return to the cl (a win) in amongst there fixtures, you'd have to say utd have had the poorer campaign so far of the two.

I don't recall Hodgson getting us into the CL (with 100% win record) and challenging for the title

By every possible metric Van Gaal is doing worse than Moyes and with an extra £100m+ spent too
 
BTW, I still don't know what Van Gaal's football is supposed to be, aside from a couple of individual moments (which the manager does not plan) it mainly seemed to be hopeful crosses into the box

And even Moyes had a better crossing record

Van Gaal is miles ahead on a per game basis

The main question is will Van Gaal get 10 months? They won't get CL so it's just whether they pull the trigger at Christmas or not
