9-3 burnley compared to 7-2 for them, also it was something like 65 35% possession in their favour as well.

Burnley were very organised today; Dyce seems capable of motivating them very well. But having watched them they look pretty poor and in need of a PL quality winger and midfielder. Will be on the end of a few hammerings this season.

What a fixtures start for united! The opposite of last season and if LVG had picked the fixtures himself they wouldn't have been that much different.
However, what great fixtures for the RSthey are already out of the title race by October. Their board is full of moaning and whinging and crocodile tears.

I hope this is a repeat of when LVG had Barcelona in a relegation fight... that would be a fun struggle to watch this season.
I think Di Maria will have to get up to speed with the prem pretty quickly. He was caught on the ball a lot today and seemed surprised when players tackled him. We will not be able to judge if he is a good buy or not until then, but at £59m he has a lot to live up to and a lot of improvement is needed. Seemed a bit lightweight at times and went down easier than a Russian whore.
Van Gaal has somehow managed to engineer an even worse start to the season than Moyesey.
Brilliant.
