I rate a manager who has won 13 of his last 15 games (and named manager of the season) more than someone who got humiliated at home by Swansea then had a #meltdown ranting at the media <ok>

Ah, so you rate a manager who lost two and drew one of his most important three games of the season above a manager who lost his only game with 9 players missing from selection. I see your logic there <cheers>

Mourinho has openly said he was a student of LVG.

There's no doubt Rodgers gets his team to play attractive football, when it works it's great to watch, but it's not title winning football. Massive tactical f**k ups cost you two games at the back end of last season which ultimately cost you the title. Rodgers was schooled by both Mourinho and Pulis, the manager of the season, in those games.

Lots of stuff we can say about Van Gaal but he definitely isn't defensive. Rodgers is a lot more similar to Van Gaal than he is to Mourinho on that front.

How is a guy slipping and letting a striker have a 1v1 chance a tactical **** up <doh>

And even the Crystal Palace game wasn't a tactical **** up, it was complacency of the players on the pitch and their poor reaction to Crystal Palace getting some momentum that cost us.

Is this even relevant? Surely by the difference in style of play between Mourinho & Rodgers' teams you can see that they have different ideals and principles despite working together for some time.

These Mancs are so ****ing desperate to distract themselves from the reality of their situation they are chasing any number of dead ends <laugh>

I just skimmed over the last couple of pages but were they really arguing for the quality of a player they're trying to dump and a manager they already sacked after 10 months?

FFS lads go to bed, you can't lose any more home games this weekend <ok>

Who has at anytime argued in favour of moyes. Weve simply take your logic to moyes and worked out that you rate him highly.

Against Chelsea a draw would have done but Rodgers played the game to win it which was perfect for Mourinho. Had you kept things tight a draw was a real possibility as Chelsea were only there to play on the counter attack.

When you were 3-0 up against Palace he should have locked the game down but tried to win it 8-0 to cut down the goal difference.

Very poor management.

You put Rodgers forward as a quality manager based on him winning the LMA manager of the season. It was pointed out that Moyes won that award twice. No one other than you implied that Moyes was a quality manager. In fact you implied Moyes is twice as good as Rodgers. You didn't really think this one through did you?

£75m and Don't believe Barca when it comes to money. Tax dodging.

If plenty of suitors why no bids, time is running out. Lower bids the closer to the deadline

We don`t need to sell, he has been given the chance of getting a team where he will be first choice. If he stays he will still get plenty of game time as backup/different option so it doesn`t matter either way.

He rarely does. Hesna legend around these parts for allntge wrong reasons.

Our game plan made no difference when our last man in defence unfortunately slipped on the ball. I really can't believe people are still peddling this bulls**t. Rodgers could've played 10 centre backs, if the last man slipped on the ball they still would've been through on goal and scored.

The Crystal Palace game, he possibly gave the instructions but he substituted Coutinho on for Sterling (@3-0) & Moses on for Sturridge (@3-2), hardly substitutes that would affect the balance of the game and make us ridiculously attacking.

There is no real difference when Maurine has the players he wants, the main thing being intelligence. Maurine knows when (and how) to shut the door <ok>

He was sold because his release clause was triggered. We couldn't do anything to stop it.
It's strange why RM would want to sell di Maria when, according to many, he was their best player last season ( better than Ronaldo?). I don't watch enough Spanish football to have an opinion other than when I have seen him he's either very good or invisible or rolling on the ground.

So what happened last year then?
He was sold because nobody on earth expected that kind of money to be bid on him so it could not be refused. Barca and Madrid make one "big name" signing every year to please their supporters, the worth of the player is irrelevant to the cost for them.

Bad management, never, surely!

Remember you are talking to Astro

What happened last year? Well obviously nobody met the release clause therefore we didn't have to sell. Pretty obvious really huh?

Your last man in defence was a slow, aged midfielder who did not "slip" on the ball, he lost concentration and let the ball roll under his foot. A good manager would have had an alert, fast natural defender as the last line of defence.
