Drogs, you should quote uir on the Costa thing. There isn't the slightest chance the likes of Torres will outscore him. Costa may not be a 25-30 goals a season man, but I think he will get 17-23.
Don't worry I will

Normal service is resumed at BBC Salford HQ.
They asked all 27 of their football pundits/commentators/reporters to predict this seasons top four, 13 of them predicted Liverpool to finish 4th, 10 reckon man yoo will get 4th and the other four reckon Arsenal will get 4th place.
However BBC Salford moved the goalposts and manipulated the survey to suit their local club.

Anyway most people choose chelsea last season, had united top 3 and liverpool 5th or 6th.
That worked out well didnt it. Couldn't have been more wrong. Even more uncertainty this time round.
Chelsea - on paper it should be easy. In reality they will struggle for goals. Their defence despite being the best last season has a new midfield in front of it. One that is less solid and will leave the poor centre backs exposed.
Arsenal will fly out the blocks. They will fade.
City have lost yaya, wipp lose aguero to injury and signed a defender who begged for chelsea to come in so he didnt have to go to joke fc.
Liverpool. Youre weaker. Much weaker. Also far more games to play this season. All in all a safe bet to finish lower this season. How many places? Could be 1, could be 5.
United - need players but the ones we have are looking good under van gaal. Weve signed a couple but still need a centre back and midfielder. Rojo and vidal seem likely. If they happen we will be right in the title race. Right now, 3rd or 4th.
Spurs....?
Everton. Wont be top 4.

How so? Because Suarez has gone. Yes he's a loss but the positives to that are we have been able to bring in quality (admittedly not risky big name players for £40 million +) that has added much neede depth. We have without a doubt strengthened our defense. Good attacking players in Markovic and Lallana and beefed up midfield with Can.
On top of that the younger players now have the experience of competing for the title and that will be invaluable.
But the biggest thing for me is that Rodgers will now be able to have the system he wants instead of having to fit it around Suarez and Sturridge.
I know we will all at sometime this season rue the fact Suarez left but I don't think it will affect us too much. United managed without Ronaldo when everyone thought they would struggle. But others stood up to be counted and I think that's will happen with Liverpool.
I hope we sign another striker and may find it hard if we don't. But we scored 70 goals last season if you take out suarez's goals so we not a one man team as a lot of our rivals make out. If we conceed 20 goals less and still score 70 then we won't be far away.
Very few people would say youve brought in quality. Lovrens aside, not sure any improve your side nor will the combined impact be equal to or better than suarez.
Perhaps we should have a poll? Of course we have bought in quality. Compared to what we had last season sat on the bench this season we have game changers.
And what quality have united bought in to get them top 4 . Just remember pre season means very little other than fitness. Yes you have a piss easy start to the season so you will have momentum but it will catch up with you.
Both your signings so far are expensive and pretty much unproven.
What do others think are uniteds signings better than ours? UIR seems to think so.

I keep reading about squad depth and bench options being better, but your 1st XI is vastly weaker minus Suarez, and you've not replaced him with a top drawer front man. As it stands up front in your squad - it's Suarez out - Big Lambo in.
If we're going 4-3-3, I would imagine that Markovic is more the direct replacement, at least position-wise. Haven't seen him, so can't comment on his quality.

I haven't been following Man Utd, apart from Herrera (the only midifelder in the village) and that crocked teenager who have they bought?
Oh wait, "both". So that's it!?
So Can > Herrera and Moreno > Shaw so all our other signings would have to actively play against us for us not to be ahead in quality.
I've not seen the lad either, so can't comment on his ability. However, his goal record doesn't suggest he's going to be prolific and if that's Rodgers plan, then it looks likely you are going to be way down on goals scored this season, compared to last. So you're going to have to be defensively much better by definition.
You wish lad. United faced can last season. He was awful. One of the worst performance ever witnessed. No exaggeration required though he was played out of position for a half.

Who isnt quality? Not saying they all are obv but why are they written off?
Markovic, highly rated around Europe
Can, highly rated in Germany (So Bayern didnt want to buy him, no shame in not getting into their midfield)
Manquillo, jury out
Moreno, looked very good last season by things that ive read (not L FC fans)
Lallana, Southamptons capt and in Prem team of the yr
Lambert, we'll see how he gets on
Origi, obv loaned backout, was getting picked ahead of Lukaku though and still v young
So why are they lacking in quality?
We have bought players who have peformed in thus league last yr
Who knows how any foreigner will settle? Costa might not settle, same with Herrar, same with Can etc
I just wont have it that we have automatically made ****e signings

Look at it this way. Are they better than who they might replace? At first glance, no.
Youve signed squad players. Bar lovrens the rest will spemd most of their time watching.
No bad thing as your squad was rubbish.
