  • Premier League

  • Champions League

  • FA Cup

  • League Cup

  • As much as Everton and Spurs!

LVG said he would play 3-5-2 with the players at his disposal, he is now in the process of changing that (it may take a while)

Just needs another 2 CB's and 2 CM's to change to a 433 then <whistle>

Looks to me like lvg is willing to give youth a chance. Always has tbh.

Throw in some quality signings and we will have a nice balance of players.

Can't be arsed posting your full squad including new signings plus Di Maria, but considering LVG has to do a lot in a short space of time for Utd I can't see big signings happily taking second place to kids and being happy on the bench.

Years apart, ffs Carroll has gone for £35 mil since then. Todays prices can not be compared to years ago!

Yep. David luiz went for 50million. Di maria is good business compared to that. Also compared with james.

Obviously compared to players not wanted by their former club it looks high. You have to pay to take those who are wanted.

Would anybody be happy with the James fee before the world cup, he was hardley a household name.

They are playing for James for real

I think a pundit yesterday pointed out money is no object, they just need players so every club approached should add 20mil to fees

It's a scalpers market right now

If you are not in the CL to sign the top players you have to pay over the odds.

Unfortunately although Di Maria is a decent player he is not a top player which is why no one else wanted him and Utd got him.

To the detriment of youth ala Chelsea and City.<ok>

How many youth players have come through your ranks and secured a long term first team place in recent years?

The only current player is Flanagan.

I'd wager in terms of volume you've brought in just as many players in recent years as both those clubs.

Only just got home from Goodstanbul?

So far only Aguero was worth it. Di Maria is half the player for twice the price.
