England 1-1 at half time, two penalties. England peno looked a bit of a dive to be honest. Japan penalty way outside the box and an unnecessary foul.

EDIT: Wasn't a dive, all good.

Just put the same on our board, I thought the England one was soft but the Japan one was at least a yard outside the box.

I didn't the foot at first, just the hand, which wasn't a penalty. But the foot while she was turning, think it ws a pen, albeit a soft one.

So of the four penalties in the SFs so far, two were outside the box and two were soft...

Don't know who's training the England women to take corners but they need to get involved with the mens team

One of the goals of the tournament if she'd meant it....

Horrifically cruel for England, and Bassett in particular. They were the better team over the 90 minutes. I turned it over to Eurosport Germany afterwards to get a more neutral POV than BBC Two and the commentator was saying the same things - he was speechless, it was cruel, and England had deserved to go through.

Oh well, that's football for you...

Mohamed Salah: Fiorentina could take legal action

Fiorentina could take legal action after claiming Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah has refused to return to the Serie A club for a second loan spell.
Salah, 23, moved in January to the Italian club, who said at the time the loan could be extended by another year.

But a Fiorentina statement now claims the Egypt winger wants to join another club, rejected an improved contract and refused to attend pre-season training.

"We have placed the matter in the hands of our lawyers," the club said.
Salah scored nine goals in 26 appearances for the Viola.

He joined Chelsea from Basel for about £11m a year earlier but made only 19 appearances and six league starts.

Salah's move to Fiorentina in January came with fellow winger Juan Cuadrado moving the other way for £23.3m.

Fiorentina's press release said: "The loan agreement runs until 30 June 2015 with the possibility of extending the deal for the 2015/16 season and a further option of making the transfer permanent."

Decent player, but maybe we dodged a bullet there.

Typical Egyptian footballer. Reminds me of Mido and the other prat at Spurs who threw his shirt on the pitch when he got subbed. One massive ego trip after another.

Yup. He seriously blew it at Chelsea as Mourinho didn't like his attitude and the amazing thing is the replacement tcseems as bad!!

Salah and shaqiri. ..You'd wonder. .. sterling too... honest to God they get too much too young and are totally spoilt.

At least you know Danny Ings will work when he gets a chance

Whatever it takes to get Utd past the qualifying round?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33385665

And like there's never been political marches in other places on matchday's, lets just give Utd the extra couple of days to prepare.

Why on Earth would your potential De Gea replacement breaking his wrist be great news?!
Or do you not rate Lloris I take it?
