<laugh> Rafa will have absolutely no input at Madrid with regards to sales or purchases <ok>

Get a grip Diego, Barca have just rubbed Real's noses in the dirt and if Rafa tells the owners he needs all of their star players in order to compete with the Catalans next season they'll do as he asks.

Nope, they will buy the next star name (not sure who that is yet, the Copa America may throw someone up) and say to Rafa "these are your players, make them work". They do it with all managers.

Nah, their owners choose a star name every few years as a target to appease their fans and to cement their status within the game but their manager like at any other club is the man that chooses which players get signed or sold.
I realise how desperate Utd are to get the best possible deal for losing De Gea to them but at the moment the player and Real hold all the cards in the saga and the biggest club in the world very rarely come 2nd best when they're after a player.<whistle>

Rodgers is now just a figurehead working with staff he never chose and for all intents and purposes new players he never chose.

He should have done the decent thing and walked after his staff bit the bullet got sacked on his behalf.

If he gets off to a winning streak next season, I bet all of that will be forgotten and all the signings will be his lol

It's the end of the season that matters, Suarez was solely responsible for our runners up finish 2 seasons ago and Rodgers can thank Suarez for his MOTY win.
He's a dead man walking and the grim reaper will have him before to long.
