    Evans is nailed on for a 6 match ban
    Cisse should get a 6 match ban too but the Matic appeal shows you can get a 33% discount if someone provoked you

    They might both get 3 or they could just get a fine, there's no clear precedent, as the punishments for this have varied wildly over the years.

    They changed the rules this year to say it's 6 games and not 3.

    The clear precedent is the rule that says 6 matches for spitting <doh>

    The rule also says you don't need to hit, just spit at, which he clearly did <ok>

    Bit of a crap week in terms of rivals results but looking at next weeks fixtures..

    Saints away to Chelsea. Assume they'll drop points there.
    Spurs away to United... one or potentially both will drop points there.

    Arsenal at home to West Ham, probably win that one.

    Good chance to put some day light between a couple of teams

    I thought there was a rule preventing referees from officiating games of clubs from the same city/area in which thy live?

    Exactly, the Geordie boss had a chance to open his grid when they named Taylor as ref for the game and put pressure on him to prove his neutrality.

    Everyone seen that Matic got injured for Chelsea during their league cup celebrations.

    He did a Terry and got changed into a full Chelsea kit despite being suspended to celebrate and then as was running to slide and celebrate, twisted his ankle <laugh>
